He sat with you backstage, the whole time. The whole entire time before the show, Calum wouldn't leave your side. It was getting quite annoying, with him following you to the refrigerator to waiting outside the bathroom for you.
You knew the rest of the boys noticed too, which was even more embarrassing. They were making faces at you when Calum wasn't looking and making fun of Calumwhen he still wasn't looking. And that annoyed you the most.
You all were sat on the couch, Calum of course sitting next to you, and the boys were talking about the setlist. Calum's hand was still rested upon your knee and he was rubbing the spot on the side of your knee that he knew was the most ticklish.
"Cal." You murmured quietly, trying not to disrupt the conversation.
"I still think we should add Close As Strangers to the setlist." Michael said and Ashton shook his head.
"What would we take out though?"
Calum continued to rub the spot by your knee and you started to grow uncomfortable from trying not to laugh. He pressed down on it one more time, harder, and you let a few giggles slip out. The boys turned their heads to you and grinned.
"Man, what is up with you today?" Michael laughed and Calum looked at him weirdly.
"What do you mean?" He asked and his hand clutched your knee defensively.
"You're being so clingy! Your poor girlfriend over here has been dragging you along with her all day." Luke said while trying to hold back his smile.
"I have not!" Calum replied and pulled you closer to him.
"Dude, do you see what you're doing right now?" Michael motioned to the position Calum was in, him practically cradling your body.
"Well, I'm sorry that I love my girlfriend." You smiled at the words he spoke and the boys just rolled their eyes and went back to their conversation.
"Am I really being too clingy?" Calum asked a few seconds after they turned away and you stared softly.
"I mean-" You hesitated to answer and his eyes grew sad.
"Oh." He whispered and began to pull away from you, but you grabbed the collar of his shirt and dragged him back.
"No, no, you weren't being clingy. You've just been hanging out with me a lot." You tried to make the situation better, but he just glared at you back.
"That's being clingy."
"Maybe I like you being clingy." You rose an eyebrow and he started to laugh while shaking his head.
"No, you don't."
"Yeah, I don't." You laughed and he smiled and pecked your cheek.
"I love you." He said quietly so the boys wouldn't hear and he pressed the side of his face to yours.
"Mm, I maybe love you too."
"Oh, maybe? Maybe, huh?" He raised his eyebrows and dropped his hand to your knee. He pressed the ticklish spot again and you burst out laughing, catching all the boys attention.
You fell back against the couch and Calum barely straddled your waist in fear of crushing your small body. His fingers poked at your ribs and your head fell back as you laughed, losing your breath multiple times.
"No, stop! Ha! Calum!" You burst into another round of hysterics and your boyfriend grinned evilly.
"What are the magic words?" He asked in a teasing voice and you tried to glare at him through your laughs.
"I don't kn-know! P-please, stop!"
"Magic words. Three simple words."
"O-okay, just, just stop."
He paused for a few seconds to let you catch your breath and you spit the words out before he could start tickling again.
"I love you! Okay? I love you. Now please let me go." You spoke breathlessly. He smiled victoriously and carefully rolled off of you.
"They're such dorks." You could hear Michael say quietly to the other two boys.
"Yeah, but they're cute." Ashton replied back, even quieter, but you still smiled. You saw Calum smile too and you knew that he heard it as well.
And you knew that you would always love your boys, no matter how clingy or annoying they could get.
