Audrey's pov
We slowly stepped on to Michael's back porch giggling. "Shut it Audrey!" he whisper yelled. "Your gonna get us caught." I slapped his arm and shook my head. "Go time."
I turned to him and tossed a can of paint. I sprayed two of my fingers, and spread them across mine and Luke's face, somewhat disguising ourselves. I slowly slid the beanie on my head and crept through the open back door. Michael and Calum were sitting on the couch with their backs faced to us. Perfect.
I ran behind the couch they were sitting on and sunk to my knees following close behind, doing the same. I nodded my head towards the eggs and Luke grabbed the carton pulling out four, two for each of us. We readied our self and cracked the eggs and sprayed the tops of their heads, eggy stuff dripping down their heads. I disguised my voice as much as possible. "Run Regina!" we darted out the door and on the way back I left them a little surprise. Big, Black, letters spread on his brand new white truck. You Suck !! on the hood and Gotcha!! on the tailgate. We hid behind a bush and watched Michael and Calum wander around Mike's yard like lost little puppies. "Regina, really?" Luke giggled. "Shut up," I started but Michael started talking. "Where the fuck did they go?" "I don't know man but, I think we learned a lesson today." Cal said scratching his head. "And what would that be, smartass?" He placed his hands on his hips. "Well, one, we learned not to leave the backdoor open, two, we need new friends, and three, I dont know yet I'm still thinking of a third. what do y-" Michael cut him off. "We should start a band." I looked over Luke and he wasn't there. "What the hell?" I said a little louder than intended. "Wait, I here something." Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. I took off running as fast as I could trying not to be seen. I looked back and they were surprisingly, not far behind. I took a sharp turn and jumped the fence at an old abandoned alley not far from Luke's house. I walked in his back door and he wasn't in the kitchen. So, naturally I looked through the whole damn house. Nothing. "Where the hell is the little shit." I whispered to my self. There was a small noise coming from the basement. How did I not see this. I heard some girl giggling thanks to the cracked door. I slowly opened and walked about a fourth of the way down the stairs. I almost fell but regained my balance after I saw Luke sucking face with some chick. This is probably gonna sound extremely creepy and weird but, I watched the two for a minute or two until someone quietly cleared their throat behind me. "Audrey?" the person whispered. If this is Michael I'm in some deep shit. I slowly turned around trying not to make any noise on the staircase. "Jack? Oh thank god." I motioned him to come by me and he obliged "Whoah, is that Luke?" His eyes got big for a second then, tiny slits. "Wanna have some fun?" He had a certain evil twinkle in his eye. About the same look I have when I have my "fun". I nodded my head and he pulled me to the garage. He grabbed two buckets and handed one to me. "Hmm, I like the way you think, Hemmings." He laughed and ran out the side door. "Hand me your bucket" He filled both of our buckets about half way full and ran to the window above Luke and face sucker. He laughed evily and slid the window open. "You get face sucker, I'll get Luke." He whispered. I nodded. "On my que." Luke shifted a little and Jack nodded. We dumped our buckets all over them. "Jack!?" Luke yelled. "Run!" He grabbed my arm and ran by Michael and Calum. "Shit, run faster!" I yelled pulling him faster. "Why?" He let out a husky breath and stopped. "I'll explain later!" I yelled back at him still running. Finally three houses down from Michael's I got to Copeland's, my sister, house. I ran in the door and slammed it behind my back panting. "Oh, Sorry Cope. I didn't know you had people over." She was sitting at her kitchen table with people dressed like millionaires. "It's ok, just go upstairs, I'll be done in about 15 minutes." She nodded her head towards the stairs and I ran up them. I got to my room and changed out of Luke's clothes. I sat on my bed and stared at the wall. Thinking. I only had two things on my mind. "Who was that girl & why does it bother me so much?" I've never exactly experienced love persay. My parents? No. Grandparents? No. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends? None. The only "love" I've ever "experienced" is basically from my sister in a sisterly kind of way. Luke, yeah, I've always loved him but in a brotherly way. He was the brother I never had, along with Jack and Ben of course. Liz was my mom growing up. and I'm extremely grateful for that, I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for her. Honestly I'd probably be in jail now, or rehab. Before I met Liz, when I was 13, I was hooked on cocaine, and it was bad. Mom was hooked on mary jane and Dad was hooked on Mary three doors down. All they ever did was fight, and when they did, I would call Luke on our walkie-talkies. When it got bad we went to the park down the street and sat there, not talking, in silence. When Liz found out how bad I really was, she took matters in her own hands. She paid for all this therapy and rehab and support groups and all that and it really helped. When Luke told her, she didn't get mad, or even yell. She simply bent to my level and hugged me so tight I thought she'd never let go. It felt great honestly. That's when I realized, in my life, people care. And I never knew that until I met my true family, The Hemmings. My phone buzzed on my nightstand, pulling me out of my thoughts. I didn't bother checking who it was because I really didn't care. "Hello?" I asked groggily "Audrey!" He breathed heavily. It was Luke. "Yeah? What is it?" "No time to explain! Get to the soccer feild now!" He yelled and hung up. I threw my black, ripped, skinny jeans on and my combat boots and ran out the door. I walked quickly down the road considering it was roughly eight thirty at night and made it to the soccer feild. Luke immediately saw me and ran as fast as he could. He was breathing heavily and his face eluminated fear in the street lamp. "Audrey," He took my arm and started pulling me under the bleachers. "What's going on with you?" I yanked my arm back. "Just shut up, and come on your wasting time!" He snapped and pulled my arm harder. We got to the back of the school doors and he looked me dead in the eyes, his body trembling, sending shivers down our spines. "Audrey it's bad," he started. "It's really fucking bad man," is all he could repeat. "Luke look at me," I tilted his head towards mine. "Luke, whats so bad?" I asked with a shaky voice. He took a deep breath and looked up, a tear slipping down his cheek. "They-" He stopped when a rustling noise came from the soccer feild. "Fucking run," he whisper yelled. We took off running and he tripped over his legs. "Luke!" I turned after him. Something started moving in the bushes by us. "Get up, very slowly." I instructed him. He slowly made his way off the ground. "Run." We started running until we made it to the elementary school play ground. "Ok," I sat down beside Luke on the swings. "Audrey, we can't stay here." He said under his breath. "Luke, we're fine. Just relax." "No, Audrey, I won't. We need to go now!" He yelled pulling me off the swing. "What the hell Luke?" I snapped. "Just shut up, and come on!" He pulled me far away from the school to an old building with one lit up room, shadows slightly moving inside them. I know exactly where we are, I just can't figure out why, I do know though, whatever it is, it's not good. You only come here by force, for trouble, or a dumbass dare. Luke looked at me, the fear still lingering on all of his facial expressions. "Luke you need to tell me, why we're here, what the fuck is wrong with you, and why won't you fucking tell me!?" I whisper yelled at him. "I can answer all of those. Just three words." tears silenty fell down his cheeks. "They got Michael." No No No No. "They can't have him, no Luke they can't" I cried in his chest. I could feel his tears hitting the top of my head. "Aud, look at me." He pulled away and tilted my head up. "What I'm about to show you is probably gonna scare you and is pretty stupid, but it needs to be done." He whispered. "Luke, what are you trying to say," I choked out. "What I'm trying to say is," he pulled out a 38. caliber pistol and fiddled around with the safety. "What I'm trying to say is, I have two of these and if you're looking to get Mikey back I'm going to need help. I understand if you just want to go home and I'l-" I cut him off. "Give me a gun." I whispered. "What do you mean?" He looked relieved but guilty at the same time. "I want to help," I looked up at. His eyes glistening in the moonlight. "Luke, I can handle myself with a measly 38. caliber pistol," I scoffed. "I know, it's just, I didn't ask you to do this." He looked at the gun in his hand and handed it to me with the clip. I loaded it while he attempted to load his. "Give me it." He handed me the gun and I loaded it. We walked to the front doors and looked through the tiny window. "Hey, I found silencers!" He pulled two silencers out of his pocket. "nice." I slipped them on the end of our barrels and slid the door open, I went to one side of the door way, Luke to the other, his gun trembling in his hands. I gave him a sympathetic smile and peered around the corner. I motioned for him to follow me and he obliged. We heard voices and footsteps nearing our postion and scattered. Two teenagers about a year or two older than us came around the corner with bloody knuckles. I nodded at Luke and readied my gun. They came around the corner and I fired. The first on fell to the ground while Luke just stared at the guy. I ran out in front of Luke and pulled my trigger causing this one to join his 'friend' in a tangled mess of limbs and blood on the ground. "Fucking pussy," I mumbled under my breath. We got to the end of a hallway and there was one room and inside sat Michael, tied to a chair. Bloody. Bruised. And Blacked out. I opened the door and two men quite bigger than the two of us combined, grabbed me and Luke from behind covering our mouths in the process. I tried screaming, kicking, and biting but none of it worked. I tried to turn my head and look at Luke but all I got was a quick glimpse of Michael lifting his head up. Bloody. Bruised. And finally conscious. I heard Luke's gun drop and a muffled scream that sounded like "Help, Audrey," and then the men deagged me and Luke into the room next to Michaels. They shut the door behind them and threw us each into a chair, tying our limbs up to the chair. I looked over at Luke and he was violently sobbing. They dragged our chairs out into the room Michael is in and sat is in a circle like form, back to back. As soon as the two left the room Michael cussed, Luke cried, and I sat, my head tilted back. What a shame, I'm actually used to this by now.
