Today is Ellie's check up/update day on how she's getting on with her treatment. I can't believe we've come so far and I can't believe how brave and supportive the whole family has been about everything.
At the moment, we are sitting in the waiting room ready to be called in to the doctors office.
I look over to Riker who's playing with the kids toys with Ellie. I'm so lucky to have them in my life, I couldn't imagine life without them.
"Miss Ellie Lynch." The doctor says and we all stand up and make our way into his room. Once we enter his room we take a seat and wait a minute while the doctor gets everything up on his computer screen that he needs to get up.
"Right," he starts, "Ellie has been recovering very quickly and it seems that the treatment is doing what it's meant to be doing and if I am correct, Ellie should hopefully only need one more session of treatment then she should be one hundred percent cured from cancer." He smiles.
"Oh my goodness, are you being serious?!" I say not believing the words that are coming out of his mouth, "Please say that again."
He laughs, "Ellie should hopefully need only one more treatment session until she is completely cured." He looks at Ellie on Rikers lap, "Congratulations little one, you've won." Ellie starts clapping her hands and mumbling random words which makes us all laugh.
"Thank you," Riker starts, "Thank you for everything, I don't think we can thank you enough." He says.
"The pleasures all mine, it's wonderful to see this young lady live her life happily and persue whatever she want to persue in."
Riker and I stand up and shake the doctors hand. And say our 'Thank yous' again and leave to go home.

Once we arrive home I put Ellie down for a nap and then Riker and I cuddle on the sofa watching TV for a while having little chats on how lucky we are. I love moments like these.

I know this chapters short but I'm thinking of doing shorter chapters as I am finding it difficult to get ideas for this story and hopefully shorter chapters means more updates I don't know, sorry for the wait on this chapter I know it's not great but it's a chapter I guess..😝
