I blacked out. I didn't remember what I did. I came to my senses. The blade in my hand was bloody along with my hand. I turned around and saw Oliver resting in Andrew's hands. I rushed over and dropped to Oliver's side.

"Don't leave me," I said, trying my hardest not to cry.

"Think of me when you're sad. Not the bad times, but the good. You grew up into a beautiful young woman, Novia. You're still feisty as ever. I'm just sad I didn't find you any sooner. I should've met up with you in prison," he said softly. I grabbed onto his slick, sticky and bloody hand.

"You're going to make it Oliver. You're not going to leave me."

"Novia, you have to believe me when I say that you were the daughter I never had, but the daughter I always wanted. I wish had done more. That's all I can say. But I love you Novia, remember me," he whispered. I shook my head.

"You can do more, you will do more. Oliver, you're going to make it. Promise me you won't go." A few tears rolled down my cheeks.

"I can't. It's my time."

"No! It's not your time. Promise me you won't go!"

"Novia, let me go. It's my time." I trembled.

"I just found you, I can't lose you now," I said. He cupped my cheek with his other hand.

"Novia, you will not lose me, I'll be with you forever. Goodbye." He closed his eyes and his hand fell. I felt anger and sorrow wash over me.

"Oliver, Oliver, come back," I pleaded, "Please don't leave me. I need you." I was sobbing. My body was shaking violently and I was wailing. Andrew scooted over to me.

"He's with Xavier now," he said softly. I nodded.

"I want both of them to be here," I said.

"I know how hard it is to lose someone. I promise you that everything is going to be okay in time. We won. That's the one good thing that came out of this," he said wrapping his arm around my shoulders comfortingly. I nodded silently. I felt numb. I felt nothing. My eyes dried. I looked at Oliver's dead body.

"Let's burn it," I said, "Let's build a bonfire and burn his body."

"We can do that later. I think you're wounded again," he said standing up with me. We walked to the dome. I let Andrew bandage the scratches on my arms and legs while I stared off into space, listening to the silence of my thoughts.
