Dipper stared at the wall, tired and famished. How long had it been since he last saw daylight? He couldn't remember, and sense of time down here was worthless. The man in the yellow coat only came down the one time and that was very long ago from what it felt like. He needed food too, he knew Stan could survive weeks without a hint of fish but he could only last a day or two until feeling like his stomach would eat itself, even just something to gnaw on to get the flavour would work, just to trick himself into thinking he's eating something. He doubted that would happen too soon though, these humans would never take off his gag in fear that he will sing them to their deaths, but what good would that do? He was logical, he wasn't the type who did things out of hast, at least when he wasn't furious he doesn't.

The knot in his stomach tightened, this was his own fault, if he had just listened to Grunkle Stan, he wouldn't be in this situation. He'd be with Mabel and Wendy and all his other friends back in the ocean, well the few other friends he had. Snapping up a bit and hitting his head on the top of the case, he decided to stop feeling sorry for himself, that's what Mabel would say. He could almost hear her, 'Dipper, move that lazy tail of yours and get out of there! You have a big brain dumb dumb! Use it!' She was right, he wasn't some dumb fish at the bottom of the ocean, being snatched up only to sit on his tail and do nothing! He had gotten out of many situations before this! Quickly looking around the room, he made up a plan. First, he would get rid of these gags and bindings, then, he would get out of this stupid case, and finally, he would drag himself to the exit and pull himself out and finally dive into the ocean, from there he would try and find his way back! Easier said than done but he may have to improvise. This all had to happen during the night though so no one would notice, he knew from his journal that humans slept at night. He will find out what time of day it is when something comes down here again and then wait until he could guess it was the middle if the night, the plan was perfect! Only he had to wait more for the pirate to come-

The way out opened, letting light flood in, he quickly noted the angle of the light, which was straight down, meaning it was around noon, he half grinned to himself, he was doing this tonight. The pirate descended into the area, fords book no where in sight. Dipper quickly hid his smirk with a glare, earning a grin from the human. He sat beside his cage and tilted his head, curiously looking over the fish and taking in what he really looked like up close before talking.

"Alright fish, I need I little something from you," the man stated, making Dipper huff and rolls his eyes. The blonde frowned but continued, "from what it looks like you already guessed that much, any-who, I need you to give me one of those pearly white teeth, as a gift! The maybe I can get you a little something to eat..." Dipper stared at the man, he wanted Dipper to give him one of his teeth... For food? How the hell did he think Dipper would do that? WHY would he think that he would do that? This crazy, psychopath, demon just dragged him out of his home, away from his family, tied him up and starved him and he expects he would hand over a tooth for a bite of whatever humans ate? The mans eye narrowed slightly, noting that the hardened glare was a straight up 'no'. "Well what the hell do you want?" Growled the pirate. Dipper flicked his tail, and nudges his head toward the exit, gesturing that he wanted to go back to the ocean. The man stood up and kicked the case, causing Dipper to flinch as the noise echoed loudly. "Ye ain't leaving! Anything else I could trade?" He hissed. But Dipper only turned his back to him, refusing to do anything for this creature, he didn't know why he wouldn't just yank the tooth out of his mouth, and why did it have to be a 'gift'? It sounded like dark magic mentioned in Journal #3 and he wasn't about to help this psychopath get whatever he wanted. The man growled loudly and stormed out of the cave, shouting, " YOU WANNA STARVE?! FINE! STARVE YOU STUPID FISH!" Then he slammed the exit shut and Dipper listened as the footsteps stomped past him and into a different area.

Satisfied with pissing off the man, Dipper began to plan his escape. The biggest risk was how far the ocean was but he was going to die either by starvation or during this escape, and he didn't want to die a coward.

If he was going to die, he was going to die stubbornly.
