Dipper had managed to wait until he knew all men were asleep, and those who were awake were nowhere near the entrance of his prison, he followed every footstep sound to be sure of it. Now was his chance to do it. He began to twist and pull, his wrist burning as the rope dug itself more into it, but he didn't stop. Suddenly he had an idea and arched his back, bringing his tail up behind his hands and touching his back. Which was extremely painful and hard. Then, he made a quick flicking motion with his tail that snapped the rope but broke one of his wrists, which he ignored. His tail smacked the side of the case from the sudden snap of rope and caused webs of cracks to form. He instantly reached up and tore off the blasted gag and ripped it in half out of pure hatred of the thing. Working his jaw slightly from the stiffness it had from being open for so long, he glanced at the case and noticed the crack that he made, then made a quick decision. He gently tapped the pearls around his wrist, whispering 'I'm coming Mabel...' then took in a large breath of water and punched the crack, causing the webs to spread more and creak from pressure. He reeled back and punched it again, gaining the same result.

One more hit and it was going down. He used all of his effort and strength in this last hit and the glass shattered, but what dipper forgot was physics and was pulled out of the tank through the hole with the rest of the rush of water and splayed onto the ground. The sharp edges of the shattered glass had cut his arms, chest, back, tail and face as he was sucked out of the tanks, and small pieces had managed to loge themselves into his skin and scales. He let a small hiss of pain escape him but pushed himself upright anyway.

Dipper could already feel the sharp pang of air prick his tail and added to the pain of the glass already stabbed in it. Not to mention, when he pushed himself upright, he managed to get more glass shards stuck in his hands. Pain had covered his entire being, but he pushed forward, heading straight for the thing the humans called a 'ladder'. The trip up it was painfully slow and painful, the glass digging deeper into his palms with each step he grabbed. Gravity was also a lot tougher and it required a lot of upper body strength to drag his tail up behind him. After what seemed like an eternity, he finally reached the top, right under his way to freedom. Excitement bubbled in his chest and he grabbed the latch and pushed. Nothing happened. Maybe he needed to shove harder. He put all his strength into the next shove. Nothing happened again.

Hope drained out of his body. It was locked. He was trapped. He was dead.

His strength gave way and he fell off the ladder and hard into his back, yelping in pain as he landed on the shattered glass. This couldn't be the end! It couldn't. Pain stabbed behind his eyes as he looked for another exit, but he saw none. The water was gone and he was going to dry up and die. How could he accept that? He dragged himself to a side wall and began to claw at the connection between the floor and the wall, he knew it was impossible but maybe he could dig his way out... He clawed and pulled away the pieces until his fingers hurt and his vision prickled with black dots. He collapsed, staring at the wall as the darkness slowly ate up his vision, his thoughts swimming.

He wasn't going home... But he might get to see mom and dad again.

That was when darkness finally saved him from his pain.

(Well dipper is dead. Bye)
