We tend to forget as time passes on
That angels were created for us to cry upon
They stand beside and are always near
Helping us face our troubles, our pains, and our fears.
But who helps the angel in their times of need
Who shows them mercy when they face greed
Where do they stand when their troubles are great
Who comes to their aid when they scream out in hate
Does the angel become doomed to a pit in hell
If they do wrong or if they fail
What becomes of those that watch over us
Who shows them pity and trust
Can they redeem themselves and honor their souls
For if an angel is doomed would anyone know
As you go about your day remember to look around
Thank the angel that is standing their ground
For that angel has done all it can do
To stand beside and protect even you.
