Being Fae

A/N: Hey guys! It's the start of a new book! I finally got my new laptop so I wont have to update from my ipod any more! (unless I feel like it :P) so yeah excuse any spelling/grammar mistakes and I hope you like it!!!! :D

Being Fae

I woke up one summer morning and remembered what today was, well, what today was in the human realm anyway. The months here aren't the same but that doesn't mean I cant have a human calender. It was August 5, 1 week until we all go back to Fae Academy. I guess I should probably tell you how the summer went.

Well, there weren't any more attacks and not the slightest hint that there would be anymore anytime soon. At first I took this as a good sign, but then the quietness set me on edge Jacobb was defiantly healed by now, and although it sounded like he wasn't the head of the people that wanted to kill me... he certainly was up in the ranks. Nathan had noticed my uneasiness and quickly got me back to feeling better. Me and Nathan had defiantly gotten closer over the summer, practically never apart. And today, he was going to teach me how to teleport

I got up out of bed and started to walk over to my closet. I stopped to look out my window wall though. It is absolutely breath taking here, The red planet Zarrin with her few blue moons slowly moving around her, the sea foam green/blue sky shone brightly, the bright white fluffy clouds slowly taking their time across the sky, and even the normal old looking sun shone with a new brilliance. Today was going to be a good day, I could feel it.

I quickly got dressed did my hair and put on a tiny bit of make up, and went down stairs.

<Back yard garden by the big tree.>

{ Kay, why'd you pick the tree?}

<I have my reasons its for your lesson though, I'll tell you that much>

I mentally stuck my tongue out at him and he just laughed in response.

When I got out there he was just leaning on a tree, smirking his usual smirk, but when he saw me he smiled.

"looking beautiful as always princess"

"you know I hate it when you call me that" I said rolling my eyes

"You know I love it that you hate it, your cute when your annoyed, and you seemed to have forgotten, I am a cute jerk you know"

"yes, yes I'm cute, you're cute. Got it. How do I teleport?" I said giving an innocent smile

"Well, princess, if you'd give me time to get to the point I'd explain it."

I just laughed and waited......

and waited......

and waited a little more...

"Well?!" I exclaimed

"Well what?" He asked mischievously

"How do I transport!" I said

"I know I know, I was just messing with you"

I sighed this was basically our relationship in a nutshell, but I loved it. I laughed to much everyday, and when I need Nathan, he's there.

"Okay so basically for transport, its a mind over matter thing, literally, You have to visibly see yourself every piece of you moving to where you want to go. The only thing is, you have to be able to see, or have been, where ever you want to transport." He paused, smirked and continued"but it took me forever to master I doubt you could get it in just a day" 

"You wanna bet?" I said smirking, similar to Nathan knew I could do this. I don't know how but I knew it.

"Sure, what's the terms?" he replied with his own smirk still on his face.

"well If I win.......you have to go shopping with me"

"Aww Amey I hate shopping!" he said his smirk falling.

"so your saying I will be able to do it and you give up the bet?" I said holding my smirk

"No....Okay so if I win" He paused to think about it "You have to kiss me"

"Okay so I guess its a win-win for me" I said and winked.

I was usually shy around Nathan, just kissing him on the cheek and holding his hand and stuff. Its just weird when I like someone I get super shy, he hasn't noticed yet...well I don't think he has.

"So for the transporting you ha-" he was interrupted when Saph walked up

"What are you all doing this awesome summer morning?" She asked a twinkle in her eyes, she always was a morning person.

" Nothing, I'm going to learn how to transport." I said with a smile I was really excited to learn this, but all these interruptions and delays were starting to annoy me just a bit.

" I wanna watch!" she exclaimed and sat on the grass and leaned up against the tall trees trunk.

I just laughed at how excited she could be at this time in the morning.

"So I already explained the whole transporting thing, so you see that branch Amey?" he paused "teleport to it, sitting down, that branch not any other branch" he finished....I could see he wasn't going to make this easy. I sat on the ground and closed my eyes. I concentrated on seeing myself on the ground an then slowly piece by piece going on to the tree branch. I opened my eyes.

And guess where I was.

Yep you guessed it! The ground. the exact same spot I started out in.

So I tried again, and again and again. I finally decided to try it with my eyes open and focused on the branch. Nathan had teleported there a long time ago and I could see him smirking. I.Am.Going.To.Do.This.

I focused on the tree and repeated the same concentration as before, and.....

I did it! I was on the tree branch, sitting right next to Nathan. I smiled at him.

"Looks like we're going shopping" I laughed and he just rolled his eyes and muttered what he said I didn't understand

"What?" I asked

"I said, have fun teleporting down" he smirked and then he was down back on the ground way way below me, to far to jump. So I imagined myself teleporting into Nathans arms and when I opened my eyes there I was, he was holding me.

I laughed at him "guess you get to carry me back to the house"

He laughed and said "You know you said you didn't like being called princess but you want me to carry you like one?"

"Yep" I said popping the P and I heard Saph laughing behind us.

"You all are hilarious to watch" She said still laughing.

"Well we need to get inside I'm hungry and ready for lunch" I said

"Amey? It's dinner time." Saph said

woooww... that took a lot longer than it seemed

"well then I'm ready for dinner!" I exclaimed.

We walked well, Saph and Nathan walked I was carried, Back to the house, I was starving that that teleporting takes a lot of energy. we went in ate dinner, Nathan ate with us but then left to go home, I still didn't know where he lived, except for that little house I saw that day at Flying cliff.... the day I... well... yeah... I found it odd when I thought about it, but I didn't think about it much. Me and Saph sat around and talked about nothing in particular until we both got tired and went to bed. I got ready for bed, yawned, layed down and Said goodnight to Nathan

<Night>

And then fell into a dreamless nightmareless, sleep.

but right before I fell asleep my last thought was 6 more days until school starts.
