Ch. 13 Well, this is.... awkward...

Ch. 13 Well, this is..... awkward...

I patiantly waited for Nathan to answer. He just sat there looking at me. Concern plastered across his face. 

No.

No no no no no.

Plently of time passed since I had gotten to the palace, plenty of time for them to have been hurt, captured and killed.

I frantically serched his face for any kind of hope or reassurance that they were okay. His face showed no emotion of the sort.

"I'm really sorry Amey" Nathan started, looking away

"No..." I barely spoke

"But....We're going to have to deal with Saph spying in us a little more since your family is living here now" He said looking up at me with a bright smile on his face

"You jerk! You had me so worried! I thought they were dead!" I said and "tackled him" 

He embraced me in a sort of hug trying to calm me down, but I just took the oppertunity to hit his chest over and over and over, he didn't even flinch....

"You jerk!" I said with one last punch and then looked up at him from his arms

"A cute jerk" He said and winked

I sighed "My cute jerk" 

"And don't you forget it princess." His face was mere centimeters from mine

"Awwww! That's so sweet!" I heard exclaimed by a young, annoying, female voice out in the hallway.

Oh, I know who that is for sure.

"Saaaaaaaaaaphhhh, whhyyy!" I exclaimed and buried my face in Nathan's warm shoulder.

"Sorry! I couldn't help it!  .. Wait! I need to go get some popcorn!" She exclaimed and hurried off

"Oh, what am I going to do with her..." I said exsasperated. 

"Haha, she's just being a sister."

"Yeah, I'm still getting used to it I guess" I said

He walked out of the room to go get something.

I drifted off into my own thoughts. I don't remember much of my old life, at all. I know that I met Aurora there, I know I didn't have any siblings, but what was her human name? My parent's name? Where did I live? It's all clouded muddy, I know I was told it's just the realm, but it feels like it's more than that. I can't place my finger on it.

"Hello? Earth to Amey?" Nathan said waving his hand in front of my face. When he walked back into the room

"Oh huh?" I said looking up at him, he pulled me into a hug I now returned.

"Now come on, how can you look at me like that and expect me not to kiss you?" He said looking at me with admiration in his eyes

"Huh? What?" I said, I don't get it..Look like what?
