Ch. 12 But what if?

GAH LOOK AT ALL THESE UPLOOOOAAADDSSS!!!! IT'S CRAZZZZYY!! Blarg, it's cause I have so much time on my hands now xD Haha, I'm not even mad. I'm sitting here, usual routine, music blaring and a cup of tea xD the music is paramore if you were wondering, love them <3 haha oh and I auditioned for a thingy at school today, I was pretty much a shoe in because I'm in the theater class, but still xD The teacher said I did really really well! Anyways, here ya go :)

Ch. 12 But what if?

I woke up to Nathan shaking me gently, How'd I get on his bed?

"Ow...." I moaned quietly with my eyes still closed, only half conscious.

"Amey? Are you okay? Come on, please wake up" He said still gently shaking me, it was killing my head.

"Ow ow ow ow ow, Nathan, stop shaking me..please" I said my voice coming out hoarse, how hard had I hit my head? How long was I out?

You think I would've asked one of these questions. Nah, I've got more important things on my mind.

"I bet I looked like an idiot." 

"No, of course not, it's a lot to take in, you were probably low on energy from today, and now this." He replied eyeing me cautiously 

"But...I don't run out of energy. Gwen said.." I said my voice getting quieter than ever

"I know what she said, she said you couldn't run out. That doesn't mean you can't get low. Remember last year? When you fell asleep on me after that fight? You were low, and you collect energy the best when you're asleep." He said explaining things in such a caring voice

"I love you" I said smiling my voice, however cracked on every word.

"Haha, I love you too, let me get you some water." He said as he got up, and disappeared.

About 10 seconds later he appeared with a tall glass of water, ice and all.

I drank it down greedily, but I left about 1/4 of the water in the glass...I wonder... I began to lift the water out of the glass when Nathan interrupted me,

"You really shouldn't be using energy."

Suddenly I remembered...

"Wait, why am I not healing? I have that power from Jacobb" I was really, really confused. I didn't like being this powerless.

"My guess? You are really low on energy" Concern like a mask on his face

"So I can't control the water?" I asked as the throbbing on the side of my head increased "Ow..." I moaned again

"I'm so sorry, I should've been there to catch you, I thought I saw something out the window, but..I'm so sorry." He said looking so sad

"Nathan, there's no way you could've known"

"I should've, you've just been through so much, and after all the energy you lost, I shoul-" I pulled him down and kissed him, certainly for longer than any of our other kisses, he relaxed immediately 

"Now, hush. You couldn't have known, it's okay."

"But I should've"

"No."

"Fine, fine....I still should've..." He trailed off and looked at me eyes sparkling,

I just huffed out a breath and started controlling the water again

"No way, no power Amey, you're going to exhaust yourself" He said as he put his hand on the glass

"But..." It's easier to show him that tell him, so I showed him I had wanted to heal my head with the water, I was the best one in our class with the water healing. Nathan still had me beat with controlling it though, If he didn't have me on that, the water would be out of that glass by now.

"Oh, I see." He said and started controlling it himself, it began to glow bright blue as he moved it to the side of my head

As soon as it reached my head relief washed through my entire body

"Ahhh" I sighed relieved, I didn't realize how much my head was affecting me.

"Thank you sooo much" I said with my eyes closed as relief rushed over my body still and I was finally able to relax

"anything for my princess" He chuckled

"I said don't call me that" I mumbled as I fell asleep, voluntarily this time

When I woke up I should've felt stiff, I probably slept for hours, but I didn't I felt refreshed, more so than I have in daaaays

 I sat up quickly when I realized where I was, what had happened, and why I was here.

{Nathan?}

<Oh, Amey! You're finally awake!>

{How long was I asleep?} It couldn't have been more than a couple of hours

<You slept strait through the night and the entire day today, it's 9:00 pm and school starts tomorrow.>

{What?! I slept that long?! School starts tomorrow?! What?}

<Yeah, I wanted to be there when you woke up..but I had to go do something>

{Where are you?}

<..The shower...>

{Oh....well..You get to that...I wanna talk to you when you get out though}

<Haha, of course>

I sat there awkwardly for about 10 minutes until Nathan walked in, fully clothed, thankfully, and sat on the bed.

"Sooo whatcha want to talk about?"

"What if" I paused "What if Jacobb gets me at school?"

"He can't schools enchanted"

"But he got in before"

"I'l have security upped, plus he already can't go shadow form on the grounds"

"What if he gets me here?"

"Oh come on princess, you should know better than that, this is the most protected place in the realm" he said rolling his eyes, and I joined him at the mention of my nickname

"What if he goes after my family?"

Nathan paused

What if, what if, what if?

That's all my life was filled with these days.

Gah, I realize things seem to be going slowly, but I'm just getting needed info out of the way, plus I want this one to be longer, and the book will pick up when she gets to school and new characters are introduced and old characters are reintroduced xD Oh, and sorry it's so short, but at least it was fast! xD
