The strawberry blonde just looks around the loft with bewilderment. Peter furrows his brows and walks towards her. He gently caresses her face as he looks into her eyes searching to see if something may be wrong.

"Did you lose your memory?"he questions as her eyes widen.

"I saw him"Layla whispers as a tear slides down her cheek.

"Who did you see?"he questions but she shakes her head.

"I can't tell you or I'll never see him again"she says as he just stares at her with confusion.

"Do you remember what happened to you?"

"I just remember being at a party here and other small bits of memories"she says and he nods as he sighs while pacing infront of her. This is probably the calmest she's ever been around him and this is most likely the longest conversation they've ever had that doesn't involve threats or rude remarks.

"Well to summarize everything. I killed you but it was all with good reason, you were possessed a really nasty trickster, I'm pretty sure she had it out for me really bad but luckily I brought you back. You're friends have become depressed little delinquents so I suggest you get out of here and help them because things are about to get really ugly"he says and hops off the table.

"If I wasn't so confused right now, I would have killed you when you said you killed me"she says and he nods as she runs for the loft door.

"That's my banshee"he whispers and she quickly looks back at him.

"Thanks I guess"she says and runs off.

The moment she enters the front door of her home covered in dried blood and dirt her mother screams and drops her bowl of lasagna. The bowl shatters and the sauce splatters everywhere but the only thing that Natalie focuses on is her very alive daughter. She runs towards her and hugs her as tears run down her eyes.

"What happened?"she cries as she squeezes the life out of Layla.

"A late Halloween prank, don't worry mom. I'm getting my revenge"she says as she pulls away from her mother and rushes up the stairs to her room. She sighs at the sight of her safe haven perfectly intact just the way she left it.

She quickly strips free of her clothes, having no time to appreciate her revival. She quickly scurries off to the shower and walks past the mirror, not wanting to see the horror. She hops into the shower and relaxes under the warmth streaming down her body.

After a while the water becomes a mixture of blood and dirt. She notices the area where Peter stabbed her has healed into a scar. She can't help but run her hands over the scars she's earned even the non existent one around her neck when Jennifer tried to strangle her. Layla Martin has been to hell and back , she's shed tears, she's lost blood, she's broken hearts, she's screamed for mercy but in the final act she wants to change the ending.

"LAYLA"her mother bangs on the bathroom door as she grabs a towel off the wrack and wraps it around her. She unlocks the door and opens it. She walks past her mom and towards her closet.

"I want an explanation and I want it now"Natalie says as Layla turns towards her mother with a soft smile.

"Mom, I'm a Banshee. I was attacked by the alpha werewolf who basically activated the Banshee inside of me. My boyfriend is a beta werewolf, most of the people I talk to are werewolves. Erica was a beta who hated my cuts and clawed at me, Jennifer was a Darach who tried to strangle me and then she impaled me with glass. I was then posses-".

"THAT'S IT! These excuses are not okay and the fact that you think it's funny to joke like that concerns me.You need to see Dr. Fitz more and when you're sister comes home we are having a huge talk because all you two do is lie. I can't protect you if you don't let me in"Her mother says as Layla changes into a pair of denim shorts and and a white baseball tee with navy blue sleeves.

"I promise you things are going to change but I have to do something so please let me do this"she says as she ties her navy blue Chuck Taylor high tops and grabs a the chain she had gotten from Allison.

She kisses her confused and upset mother on the cheek and jogs down the stairs as she ties her hair into a long curly ponytail. She runs out the front door, not really sure of where she's going but it's like her feet are just guiding her and she has no control.

"I don't want to get too attached. Things are going to change and things are going to come in between us, whether it's other people or villains, maybe even death. I don't want to be left broken, trying to put the pieces back together while wondering what your final thoughts were, will you still feel the same in the afterlife, will you even remember me. The sad part is I'm already attached" Isaac Lahey hears the words Layla once said to him. He laughs humorlessly to himself, all this time she was worried about losing him but he lost her.

He can't help but blame himself. If he had payed more attention, questioned her strange behavior sooner, maybe if he had gave her the love and attention she needed then she wouldn't have been so alone, so scared in her final moments, maybe she would still be alive. Everyone he's ever loved has died and maybe it's turn.
