I'm such a bad author, I write one chapter and then disappear! I'm so sorry!!!

It was 11:00am and I was rushing around like a mad woman. I was supposed to be moving into the apartment today whilst I also met my roommate as well. Let's just say sleeping in on such an important day was not a good idea. I didn't even have my essentials packed. As I shoved most of my clothes into a box and taped it up mum walked into my room.
"Sweety I had your dad help me pack your things from the book shelf considering I knew you were running late. We've also got that small bookshelf that you bought sent to the apartment so it'll be ready to put together when we arrive" she informed me.
I sighed with relief. "Thanks mum, that's one less thing I have to worry about."
I put all of my school things into a box and taped that up and started lugging my packed boxes down the stairs.
"You know I could do with some help somebody" I called out, but hearing silence as my reply I rolled my eyes and continued walking down the stairs.
"There you are! I thought I'd have to drag you out of bed myself" my dad mocked as I packed the last of my boxes into the car.
"I would've been down here faster if somebody had of helped me, but nooooo, I had to do it all myself" i grumbled, stretching out the 'no' sarcastically.
"Welcome to adulthood, darlin', get used to it" he mocked further.
"Gee, thanks." I replied.
Just as I was about to jump into my car, the one and only Holly sashayed out the front door, looking as sarcastic as ever. She walked as if anybody that passed her would bow down in an instant. I only rolled my eyes.
"Oh dearest sister, how will we live without you" she feigned sadness. "I don't think I could spend a day without you."
"One: your an adult, get a life. Two: you don't even live here anymore, go back to your house. Three: my apartment is only a rough twenty-five minute drive from here, I'm not exactly leaving you for the other side of the world." I grumbled, she was really infuriating sometimes. How did I ever play dolly with her when we were younger?
With a slight "hmph", she turned around and marched back through the front door. I smiled in victory, that's a point to me.
"Okay well, have a safe drive and if you need any help unpacking remember we're only a phone call away" mum said with a tear in her eye and a quiver in her voice. I walked over and hugged both of my parents.
"It's okay mum, like I said, I'm only twenty-five minutes away. You can visit anytime" I reassured her. "Wait. Make sure you call in before you visit". Imagine uninvited parental checkups, I mean, I'm meant to be an adult now. i walked over to my car and plopped down in the seat. With a long lasting glance at my child hood home and my parents and little sister waving at me from the front door, I pulled out of the driveway and began my drive.

Pulling up into the apartment block's car park I felt a shiver go down my spine. This was it. The clock was nearing 12.00 and I was wondering exactly who I invited over to be my roommate. Hopefully they aren't too late, I'd like to discuss this whole roommate thing in detail.
Stepping out of the car I decided I'd go up with essential belongings first and do the thorough unpacking after I'd chosen my room. First in best dressed, am I right?
I walked into the lobby and up to the front desk. It was a pretty decent place,my parents made sure of that. They'd already payed the first few weeks of rent to give me time to settle in, then I'd get a job and pay my own half of the rent myself. My mum and dad didn't like this idea at first. They wanted to pay for my school fees and and rent, but I'd refused. I wanted to find my own way in this world, not always being sheltered under my parents income.
"Hello, how may I help you today?" the receptionist asked me, a toothy smile lighting up her face. She was quite young but seemed very friendly.
"Hi my name's Indigo Adams and I'm moving into my apartment today. I was told if I could get my key from here." I replied, offering her a smile back. After glancing down at her computer screen whilst her fingers flew across her keyboard, she looked up at me.
"Here we are, Indigo Adams, floor six" she rummaged around in a draw to her right. "Here's your key and a spare, just to let you know the front desk will always also have another spare key in case of emergencies. It says here that you've also already payed your first month of rent so you're right to go" she chirped.
"Thank you very much" I responded before walking over to the elevator and pressing the up button. I stepped in pressed in the button for floor six. After making it to my floor and putting the key into my door, I walked into my apartment. Yes, my apartment. The kitchen was medium size and fairly modern but not overly designed. The lounge room already came fully furnished with a three seat sofa and an arm chair, a good sized television and a glass coffee table. Again, quite modernly designed but just right.
Getting an apartment that was already furnished was a little too much but my parents insisted. They want me to live in comfort, they'd said.
Walking down the hall I saw that the two bedrooms were across from each other. Walking into one of them I saw that it had a double sized bed and a small walk in robe. I walked into the other and found that it had a queen sized bed and a larger walk in robe. It also had a small bathroom attached and I decided that this was the one for me. I needed my own bathroom.
Glancing at my watch, I found that it was nearing 1.00pm. My roommate was late. Great first impression...
I made my way back to the apartment and collected two of my boxes. After making it to my floor, unpacking two boxes of clothing into my wardrobe and making a cup of tea, it was 2.00pm and still, no roommate.
Was I going to have to find another one. Great. Just my luck...
