five
I awoke early the next morning to the loud buzz of my pillow vibrating under my ear. I grudgingly lifted myself from the pillow and slipped my hand underneath discovering my phone, I had obviously fallen asleep on the internet and not remembered to put my phone on charge. Yet again.
I turn the phone on, discovering my low battery and a text from Liam both at the same time.
I know it's early, but I kinda wanna run today. You in?
Running? Is he serious, I haven't even checked with Melissa yet and how could I now she's sleeping. Quite rightly so it's only six in the morning and she has to get up for work in hour. What sort of person would I be to disturb her?
I flipped back onto my pillow sending him a quick declining text that probably had too many spelling mistakes to count. I sent it just as my eyes slipped shut and the phone fell down on my face, I was too tired to care.

Buzz, Buzzzz
Buzz, Buzzzz
Buzz, Buzz-
My nose was vibrating. My whole face feeling slightly odd and numb.
Blurry eyed and disorientated I drew my phone away from my face the glaring screen blinking at me with Liam's contact.
"What do you want?" I croaked accepting the call and bringing it sleepily to my ear.
"Good morning to you too" Liam's cheery voice greeted me on the other end "you ready to run?"
"Did you not get my text?" I groaned running a hand over my face.
"Come on Charlie, it'll be fun!" He said loudly making me wince.
"It's six in the morning, I was sleeping" I hissed back.
"Bright and early in the morning is the best time to run" He sang "I've been up since five, you're lucky I didn't call you then"
Ugh morning people, they make me sick.
"I'm all ready Charlie, how about I run down to your house now while you get yourself up and then I'll take you on the the long route back to my house. I can even make you breakfast after?" he proposed.
Long route? Who does he think I am?
"Charlie, hello?" He called down the phone "are you awake?"
"Yes I'm awake" I snapped.
"Good ... I'll see you in about ten minutes then?"
"There's no way in hell I'm getting out of this bed" I muttered to him, before realizing I was talking to a dead line.
Had he hung up on me?
I bought my phone away from my ear realizing it hadn't been him, my phone had run out of battery and died on me.
I sat up cursing at my phones black screen. He's probably going to be round here in ten minutes now, he'll think I'll actually want to go running with him.
Hurrying over out of bed I nearly tripped over myself as I did, reaching for my phone charger which lay on my desk and plugged it into the outlet behind my bookcase.
I had to wait a few minutes for it to come to life, just sitting beside the phone on my bedroom floor. Then it flickered on, with a very low battery but at least it was on.
I immediately went to my contacts and called Liam, bringing the phone to my ear.
He didn't pick up. He had probably turned his phone off for all I knew. I sighed in annoyance throwing my phone down on the floor in defeat.
