Making A New Mark

Chapter 3-Neko

Neko was rather small for 16. She was shorter than most people in the people in the high school. She had short purple hair that found it's way to her chin line. She had deep dark brown eyes laced with light red sparks. Light red lips that painted themselves perfectly. She always wore headphones in her ears. She wore dark jeans 100% of the time, and band logo teeshirts only. Her music seemed to be her life. She always surronds herself with people with fears of being alone. She's a thrill seeker and always looks for adventure everywhere people could never find any. 

'I try to hard. To make friends. I hope she actually shows up today after school. I can't wait to introduce everyone to Jason. He's the perfect boyfriend, and we match personalities exactly. Ken. will probably be mad...we aren't supose to mark others without his approval. I just couldn't help it. He's just so...perfect for us. 'Us' I'm still not use to saying that. I'm bound though so what's mine...is ours.' I thought to myself.

I sighed in relief when I saw Noelle walk through the door with Kenyon. All of my friends where sitting on the tables and spread throughout the room. When Kenyon glared at me I knew he knew what I did the thought of making him mad set a burning pain throughout my body as I flinched. Everyone moved to place themselves in chairs. 

"Hi Noelle. Everyone this is Noelle. Noelle this is--" I said pointing to different people, "Mike, Kale, Myrie, Niki, Steph., Soul, Mason, Allex, Nate, and Jessica, and everyone this is Jason, my boyfriend." All the eyes seemed to go towards me when I mentioned Jason's name, but with a disapproving look from Kenyon they looked at Jason and Noelle and greeted them. 

I was standing in the corner hearing Noelle's 'life story' from across the room I saw Ken. making his way to me. 'Shit. Here it comes.' I said to myself before Kenyon stood next to me. "I thought I told you--" "I know! Not to mark people, I didn't mean for it to happen, but I just couldn't help it! And what about you, not planning on marking Noelle? We make mistakes and I'm sorry but he knows now and I'm going to turn him. I just wanted your approval fir--"

"How dare you want my approval now! You have to turn him or he will die Neko!! What were you thinking you should've asked before you placed your mark on him! What are we going to do when people start wondering why our group is getting bigger and bigger because no one wants to come near us so why would someone just want to join all of a sudden! EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO!!" He said raising his voice at me. 

I chose my words carefully, "I know...Everyone but a few and I should've kept it that way. They leave us alone if we leave them alone. It was the only deal, I'm sorry Ken." I looked down pretending not to feel his shocking stare on my every move. 

"Forget it Neko. It's fine. I do have a small intention of marking and turning her. I just wish you would've asked. The whole group needs to approve that's why I had you meet her and tell her to come after school. I'm sorry for raising my voice but all of you need to remember who started all of this. You belong to me now." He had a dark and evil tone when he spoke to me. 

"Hey you two!" We heard Noelle say as she was walking towards us. "What are you guys talking about?" I knew she liked Kenyon so I tried to help them out when I spoke, "Oh just Ken's little crush on you." I said teasing them and winking at Ken when I walked away to Jason's side. 

Noelle chuckled and blushed. I listened to their conversation to make sure Kenyon chose his words carefully. "Oh so you have a crush on me?" She said smiling brightly. "Uh I-I uh, well yeah...I do." He spoke carefully because he knew I was listening. I spoke to Jason and tried not to make it obvious that I was 'overhearing' them exchanging numbers and flirting nonstop. I went around the group to Steph. 

"You should be more careful Neko you know how it is when he gets mad. He's in charge and we can't misbehave he is the one who turned us when we wanted to be changed. We owe him for taking care of us." She spoke in a caring tone that sounded sincere towards me. "I know. I really do love Jason though..please tell me everyone is liking him well enough for me to turn him, I can't watch him die." 

"Everyone enjoys him, yes." A small child-like voice came from behind us. It was Niki, she always puts her nose in other people's conversation. "Oh sorry, I uh overheard." She spoke with a smirk. "You are a stupid selfish bitch for marking him without our approval first, you'll be lucky to get my vote."

I flew my body over to hers and pushed her against a bookself. "Watch your tone with me. You're the youngest of us all and I can take you out you fucking slut. You have no right to judge me! Considering your the only one who can't be pleased enough with the animal blood he gets us so you sleep around to taste all the other choices!" I said in anger my eyes flickered to a deep blood red and I kept them glued to her. 

"Fine!" She said pushing me back. "I know my answer is a no." She started to walk away but I could hear her thoughts, "By the way cunt. Your ex boyfriend taste amazing." I held myself back from ripping her head off right down to the seams.
