Natalie’s eyes grew twice the size once on platform 9 3/4, she had been dreaming of this moment since she was old enough to read. Draco was standing beside her, wondering why she had just stopped in the middle of the platform. She was mesmerized by the Hogwarts express- but was snapped out of it when the train whistle blew and Draco stood in front of her.

"Well we best be getting onto the train," Draco went back to ignoring her and walked onto the train, she just climbed in afterwards. Catching her off guard he turned around, "You can sit with me if you would like." Natalie looked up to him,

"If you don't mind...”

"If I did I wouldn't have asked you now would I." he sneered.

"No I guess not." Natalie looked down; why he thinks he can suddenly walk all over her. They had only just met.

One inside one of the compartments to Natalie’s surprise Draco lifted her trunk and put it on the shelf above. They sat down across from one another. Draco sat with confidence slumped a bit hands rested on knees, while Natalie had her knees touching and her toes were pointing towards each other. They sat in an awkward silence while Natalie stared out the window.

"What house are you in?" she asked Draco, her voice was soft, her eyes were inviting.

"Slytherin, the best house" Draco paused and sat up a little bit laughing "The house of the most powerful wizard, you-know-who." He was smiling, his voice was harsh, and his eyes were mean.

"Never would have guessed." She went back to staring out of the window

"Was that sarcasm...?" Draco smirked

"Natalie, Natalie... Potter. Can't remember names that quickly Draco? Pity," She smirked back at him.

"Potter? You're related to him, no wonder you're such a fool." his eyes were burning into hers now.

"Oh really, you’re going to sink so low, well your revolting you know that Draco?" Natalie stood to leave.

"Wait!" he stuck his hand out towards her, causing his arm to be exposed. Natalie turned around and saw his eyes were apologetic. She was about to sit down again when her eyes dropped to his arm. She was practically speechless.

"Get away" she was slowly backing up, "never come near me again." Draco looked down at his arm and saw what the sudden fear was.

"You don't understand!" he called after she left.

Natalie may not understand the dark mark, but she understood that she never wanted to see him again.
