CHAPTER 14

"A Hero?"

I sat at the edge of the bench as I ate my lunch. It's almost the end of the 5th term and it seems I am doing more that fine. I have recovered and the professors are kind enough to make me pass due to my conditions.

"How are ya Ice?" Archie greeted me

"hey. I am fine but I am a bit dizzy still. Wait..." I noticed something "where's Felix?"

"He hasn't came to school yet since the earthquake. I went to his house and his parents told me that he is sick. But for 2 weeks?"

"2 weeks!?" I exclaimed

"Yeah... Will you come with me to see him later?" He asked

"Sure. I am worried!"

"T-T-Thank – you so much!!" He shook my hand

"anything for a friend!"

So on that evening, we went to Felix's house to find something.... You wouldn't expect...

"F-F-F-F-FELIX!!" Archie exclaimed as he saw Felix just hanging on for dear life on the roof while someone is stepping on him

"What the-!"

"That's his dad!" Archie cried

"Dammit!" I ran in the house and went to the roof. There, I saw I rabbit crying.

"ma'am! Are you... Felix's mother?!" she looked at me with red eyes

"H-H-H-Help... my... son..." I nodded in her words

"Where's the entrance to the roof" She pointed at the ladder at the corner. "Thank-you"

I ran at the roof like no tomorrow and I peeked so that I would not be found

"I HAVE NO GAY SON!!!" the father kept on stepping on Felix's hands.

I slowly crept o the roof without noise and I saw policemen on the ground. Seems like Archie called them. Great timing too.

Slowly... slowly... slowly....

...

........

NOW!!

I grabbed the man with an arm and flipped him over.

"AHHH!!"

Felix the fell... or so he wished. In the nick of time, I caught him and pulled him up.

"ya okay!?" He nodded "go down now!"

He ran and went to his mom. Great... he's safe...

I turn towards the man and can see he is pissed.

"How dare you!"

"Want me to stand while my friend gets killed by his own father!?"

He then charged at me with a punch. Using my skills taught to me during high school, I reversed it. I continue to do so to buy time for the police.

"What? You done?" He keeps attacking and I keep taunting. It's so helpful if you know self defense.

"WHY YOU!!!" He gave me a kick from below but I just jumped over him. When I land, pinned him to the roof and used my ID lace to tie his hands.

"ICE!" Then Kyle jumped from the side

"Looking flashy? Too late" I stood up and gave him a high five

"Thanks for that. But try not to make yourself end up in the hospital again" He teased and we just laughed

"GRAAH!" The man broke my lace as if it was paper "YOU WILL PAY!!!"

"Hmph. Looks like you are not done" Kyle went to battle position

"Hey, it's your job!" I prepared myself as well

"LET'S GO!" we said in unison and charged the man

A few punches later...

"That was fast..." I said

"Yeah... he was already knocked out..."

"We should that Ma'am Pearl for her moves!" I laughed

"We should!" The rest of the force arrested the man for attempted murder and we went to see the Archie and Felix

"How are you two?" Kyle asked

"T-T-THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" the both of them hugged us

"heh. No problem! Just doing my job!"

"And I am... uh... wait... what. I don't work here!" I exclaimed. "Dammit! I should've been paid for that!"

We all just laughed

"Thank's you guys. Where have you been taught that? I have never seen something like that fighting style." Archie asked

"Ever heard of class Z" Kyle explained it to them

"Wow... cool!"

"By the way, your dad said he has no gay son so does that mean he hates us?" I asked

"yeah so he locked me in my room for 2 weeks..."

"So that's why"

"Thank-you... so much..." he starts to cry

"heh. Well, I gotta go. Need to file a report" Kyle then waved us goodbye

"me too. Dinner wont get eaten by itself"

I left them there feeling whole once more.

"... A hero huh?"

I went to my own home and did my routine and went to bed.

"I wonder if Rex would've done the same thing?"
