I hate waking up for school just as much as the next guy, but for some reason when I wanted to wake up it felt like something was holding me down. I lifted up my covers to see an arm?

Oh yeah, my best friend Shane stayed the night last night, he probably fell asleep in my bed. Don't get your hopes up about this being about two best friends who fall in love. I haven't had a boyfriend yet, I want to wait till I get my mate.

"Shane, move your arm I can't get up." I tried pushing on his face but he wouldn't budge. I heard him growl slightly but that was it.

"Shane, don't make me get my dad up here." I warned. I swear I've never seen his eyes shoot open that quickly.

"Okay, okay! Last time your dad came up he sprayed me with a hose." Shane said as he was scrambling to get out of my bed.

"Doesn't your mother ever worry about you?" I asked him again for probably the billionth time. I swear he never even asks his mother to come over, he just shows up.

"Well mommy dearest knows that I'm safest whenever I'm with your family, I mean for gods sake it's the flipping Alpha house." He explained. I got up from the safety of my covers and went to my closet to pick out something to wear.

"Do you need to borrow clothes?" I asked. Since Shane comes over so much I keep almost a little closer for him in my bedroom just in case he needs clothes.

"Yeah, I seem to have misplaced my shirt." He joked making me giggle.

I picked out a simple dark blue V-Neck and threw it at him. Then I picked out short high waisted shorts and a grey t-shirt crop top with the words Normal Is BORING written across the front in red.

"Do we have to even go to school today?" I groaned. Plopping onto my bed.

"Yes, sadly we do. Wanna take my car?" Shane said, I hate when he asks that.

"You know I don't have my license."

"I know it's just fun to torture you with the fact that you don't." I punched Shane in the arm.

"Let's go asshole." I said and we walked out.

"Glad to see that you two are up." My mom said as I grabbed an apple out of the fruit bowl. Just as I was about to walk out the door my mom called me.

"Nuh uh, sit down. You need more for breakfast." She pointed at the barstool. I trudged over and sat down. She put a plate of bacon and eggs in front of me.

I ate a piece of bacon the got up, but this time Shane stopped me by throwing me over his shoulder.

"See, if you eat more then it'll be harder for me to do this." He explained.

"Please, your muscles have muscles. You'd be able to pick me up at any time, now put me down we're gonna be late." He put me down.

"Bye mom, tell dad I said I love him." I said and gave my mom a kiss on the cheek before grabbing my backpack and heading outside.

"HEY BITCHHH!" I heard a way too familiar voice scream. I turned my head and sure enough my best friend since birth Chloe. Her parents and my parents were really close, I mean her mother was my mothers best friend.

Except they weren't related by blood, Chloe's mom, Riley found out that she couldn't have kids so she adopted Chloe when she was almost one.

"HEY GURLLL!" I yelled back. By then she had reached me and engulfed me in a hug. I haven't seen her in two weeks since she went on a trip.
