Picture of Hailey ^^^

It's been almost 2 weeks since my last encounter with Ash. My life has gone back to normal except for the fact that I have a mate. I've been working on getting my license as well.

Everyone's still on edge waiting for Ash to make a move, but literally there has been nothing. My dad's been on my ass lately about missing training all the time but he makes me train with our best guards and I nearly broke my leg sparing with one of them.

But today he wasn't letting me skip out on this training. We had just recruited someone new and my father being the hardass that he is wants me to spar with him.

I met up with the new recruit. His name was Braxton and he was giant! His arms were probably bigger than my head, his chest was sculpted with muscles and a very chiseled 8-pack and he had to be at least 6.9 or 6.10. How the fuck am I supposed to spar with him without dying?! I don't think that the training I've done with Jet and Shane will help me prepare for this.

Braxton was already on the sparing square but I shuffled away going to talk to my dumbass of a father.

"Ryder!" I yelled trying to sound like my mother. "How the hell do you think I'm supposed to fight this guy? He's a flipping giant!"

"Looks like you should've gone to my training then.." He trailed off with a smirk on his face. I mocked his sentence then stuck my tongue out like a five year old.

I stomped over to wear Braxton was. I looked him over again looking for any weaknesses that I could attack. Unluckily for me I couldn't see any. Jet, Shane, Chloe, her mate Damon, my mom, my dad, and most of our warriors and guards had gathered around to witness me about to get my ass kicked.

I loosened up my body as did Braxton and we both got in fighting stances. I noticed my first weakness. His foot was slightly off which would give me a chance to knock him off his feet.

"The alpha told me not to go easy on you, that okay?" Braxton asked before we started.

"No but I don't think I have a choice."

I started off first with an attack. I took his misplaced foot to my advantage and was able to knock him to the ground and it gave me a chance to kick him in the jaw.

Braxton grabbed my foot and flipped me down to the ground. I swiftly got to my feet ready for another attack but Braxton was ready before me. Braxton slammed right into my gut. I felt a rib crack and fell flat on my back.

Getting up was hard, but I fought through the pain. Quick and swift I ran behind climbing Braxton's back. My legs wrapped around his neck and brought him down to the ground. My legs stayed around his neck getting tighter and tighter. Right wen the glimpse of victory was in my eyes, it vanished. Braxton had gotten out of my hold, a round house kick brought me down. He placed his foot on the small of my back. I couldn't move.

"Looks like there is a clear winner."

Braxton helped me up. "Your tough. No one's ever been able to last that long with me."

"You're pretty tough yourself big guy. No ones been able to beat me." I said trying to sound as imitating as possible.

"Wow really?" He asked. "I'm not trying to sound insensitive, but your so tiny."

"Well not everyone can be seven feet tall." I laughed slightly. "I guess your right about that." Braxton said.

"Hailes get changed." Chloe yelled.

"Where are you heading off to?" Braxton said. "Not really supposed to be telling anyone but I'm getting my license." I told.

"I'll keep your secret. But aren't you like 17?"
