I am normally calm in tough situations, but for some reason I could barely keep the car going straight. My hands were sweaty and my knuckles were white because of the grip I had on the steering wheel.

Not to mention that the only thing I'm thinking about is whether any of my loved ones are still alive.

I really didn't even know where I was driving, but I was just staying on the outskirts if the woods by the pack house. I heard a wolf howl and I slammed on the brakes. I jumped out of the Range Rover and ran into the woods. I was in too much of a hurry to even close or lock my door, but honestly I didn't care.

Another painful howl and I could tell that a wolf just died. I pulled out my gun from my waistband. I slowed my pace down to a jog when I heard more sounds of growls. I haven't heard any gunshots though, which I guess I should think is a good thing.

I saw a silhouette running towards me. I pointing my gun, and as I was about to fire, I figured out that it was Jet.

Oh My God it was Jet! I thought as he ran closer to me. I ran to him and he picked me spinning me around.

Once he stopped spinning I gave him a passionate kiss. The feeling that I got when I knew that he was safe is just unexplainable.

"I thought that Shane was looking after you." Jet said as he put me down.

"He was but I needed to find you and make sure you were okay." I said.

"Hailey do you not realize the danger you put yourself in! Ash is looking for you as we speak." Jet said.

"Well no shit Sherlock! He was already looking for me. But I'm not gonna sit and around and not do anything! That goes against every piece of morals that I have. You won't be able to say anything to stop me, I'm helping my pack no matter what. Don't force me to get you out of my way Jet." I stated, standing my ground.

"You're in no place to be fighting right now Hayley. Just look at yourself right now." He exclaimed. I looked down at my battered clothes noticing I was changed into a black tank top with black yoga pants. They both had some sizable rips in them and my arms were bruised and scraped. Good thing I was starting to heal.

What happened to me while I was out?

"I don't care I'll be fine, it's killing me not knowing if people, including my parents, are safe or not. Plus this argument we are having right now is only wasting time it isn't doing anything to help anyone." I pushed past him and began to run off in the direction I saw him running from.

The area of the woods familiarized slowly as I began to realize that I was coming closer to the clearing that Shane had taken me away from earlier. I honestly didn't know what I was planning when I got to where the clearing was, I just needed to know my mom and dad were safe.

As I came up to the clearing I heard no growls or gun shots anymore. I was confused because there wasn't even any dead bodies in the clearing. No one was fighting, everything was still. I found myself in the center of the clearing and now the whole world felt still. It didn't feel right, I knew that there was still fighting going on.

Why couldn't I see it?

Just as I was realizing what was happening I was knocked out cold. I'm surprised I don't have serious brain damage by now.

---

I woke up in a mysterious room, except I was bound to anything I was just slouched in a corner all by myself. My head sort of hurt but I still remembered everything that happened and I knew how I. couldn't see any of the fighting going on.

To answer my question perfectly in walked Missy, the powerful witch my mother told me about. She brought me back from the dead before I was even born. Except she always had it out for my mother ever since she figured out that Hunter died. But seeming as how she's a witch she probably cast a glamor over me and the clearing to ensure that no one fighting saw me and that I didn't see any fighting.

"Why hello there Hayley, I hope you were treated well on your arrival here." She said slyly.

"Well I wouldn't know seeming as how I was unconscious, by the way thanks for the headache." I said sarcastically. Missy waved her hand and my headache was gone.

"I'm so sorry about that, some of these witches aren't very fond of you or your family." She said as she walked closer to me. The room only had a dim light so I could faintly make out her features. Missy defiantly could easily be taken out if she didn't had magic because she seemed only about 5'6 or so but she was just so tiny and looked so fragile.

"Where am I?" I asked looking around the room trying to see anything else, there weren't any windows so I safely assumed I was in a basement.

"Well your not in Florida I'll tell you that." She said with a smirk.

"Where the hell am I Missy?" I said as I started to stand.

"Your in Arizona."

"Why did you bring me to Arizona?" What the hell is going on?

"Well you see, your pack and both your mates I might add will have no idea where to look for you. Your scent was masked on the plane ride here." Wait plane ride, how long was I out for?

"You were out for only two days, I guess someone really had it out for you to hit you so hard." She stated as if reading my mind.

"This doesn't explain shit! Why did you bring me here, what do you want from me?" I yelled getting annoyed now.

"Just shut up and listen." Missy exclaimed annoyed, she snapped her fingers and my mouth shut and I couldn't open it to talk, so I caved and let her talk.

"Now," she said collecting herself, " I assume you know about the war going on right now over you." I nodded my head. "Well witches are in need of some supplies that don't come easily. And we need someone to fetch them for us, except we don't want to lose any more of us trying to get them again." I looked at her confused. "Look Hayley, we've told both sides that we have you and whoever can get us what we need first will get you back safe and sound."

I pointed to my mouth so she would let me talk, she snapped her fingers once more and my mouth was able to move freely again.

"So your using me as an incentive?"

"Yes exactly, with you with us now the only choice that both sides have is to do what we say unless they want to lose you."

"What you're gonna kill me?" I questioned.

"No, unless neither side gets us what we want." She explained.

"What is it that you want exactly?" I asked.

"A few special herbs, a special grimoire that is past from every generation that was lost, and the heart of the Red Moon pack Luna." Her eyes stared right into mine and I realized that in order for me to be free my mother would have to die....

Yes I know that I haven't updated since July and I'm so sorry.
Yes I know this chapter is short and I'm sorry for that too but I've had writers block and I almost just wanted to give up on this book but I didn't and I pulled through.
I'm going to try and put more chapters out but be patient with me. But if you want more chapters faster then comment some ideas you'd like to see.
Thank you for putting up with my spacy publishing and again I'm really really sorry but ily all!! :D
