Maybe things get easier when you're in love. Maybe it's just the Placebo effect.
That didn't matter. Not now. Daily, we'd be together. Lunch, after school, wherever. Just the two of us. Doing whatever. Just us. It's so... Electric.
I don't want to say it was really unique. I think this is how all love is. I want to keep it.
It's precious.

Aldnoah High was having a dance soon, and it would be... Amazing to go to. The Free Spirit dance.

I step off the bus and I'm headed into the courtyard before class. I'm dressed in a white polo sweater and light blue skinny jeans. I feel confident. A bouquet of bright orange tulips in one hand, and a cup holder with two cups of coffee in the other.
Asseylum is walking towards me with a smile.
"Slaine those are so pretty!" She exclaims as she approaches.
A grin forms across my lips, and I say,
"Thank you,"
She poses, "Are they for Inaho?" I nod, and her smile brightens.
"That is absolutely adorable!" She finishes. I blush heavily and look away, my grin becoming a full smile.
The next wave of busses comes in and I see him. Inaho is dressed casual yet classy in a white dress shirt with an orange vest over with a skinny black tie. It's the jeans that make it look casual.
Or adorable, up to interpretation.
In his hands is a bouquet of white and red roses.
As he got closer to me, I can see his face light up.
Inaho's friends are watching.
That's okay.
He offers me the flowers and I accept.
"Slaine Troyard, will you accompany me to the Free Spirit dance?"
I'm definitely smiling from ear to ear. My cheeks are on fire.
"Of course, but on one condition."
He's smiling too. It's amazing.
"And that is?" He muses.
"That you, Inaho Kaizuka, go with me to the Free Spirit dance." I extend the bouquet of orange tulips, and he takes them with grace.
"I wouldn't miss it," he responds.
I pull him into a hug, and don't let go for a bit.
I can feel Rayet rolling her eyes, and Inko elbowing her gently in the side.
Asseylum gives out an 'awe' to my right.
This is a perfect movie moment.
I think I really am in love.

The rest of the day is fast. That's perfectly okay.
When I get home I walk in and find dad sitting at the table, and he greets me.
"Hello Slaine,"
"Hi dad," I say, still beaming.
"So I take it he said yes?"
I show him my new bouquet. I get a look of confusion.
"We both said yes," I say.
He smiles at me.
"That's good," he sounds indifferent.
I get a vase from the china cabinet and place the flowers inside.
I grab a snack bag of pretzels and head to my room. I check my phone, answer some texts, and then I look to see a message from Inaho.
"Color scheme?"
"Black and white," I send back.
"Perfect. Wanna grab a drink?"
I look at the clock, and then at my bookbag.
"In an hour maybe?"
"Okie dokie. See you then bat."
"See ya, orange," I finish.

We're sitting at the coffee shop drinking the same thing we always get.
For him, it's a Caramel frappe. He likes to get shot of orange flavoring to spice it up.
I like the Vanilla bean frappe with dark chocolate drizzle.
The day is pretty warm in terms of winter. We're sitting here just talking about anything and everything. He leans across the table and kisses my cheek.
I'm flustered, still not used to being affectionate. He smiles and says,
"Sorry, whipped cream on your face,"
I would've asked him then and there to marry me, but something took away my vocabulary.
