2-Hanayo

(Now you all are probably saying "why Hanayo? This is Maki x Eli! Shouldn't it be Maki?" But don't worry, I'll explain.)

I'm still pretty flustered.

I mean, why wouldn't I be? Eli said she thinks she's in love with me.

I'm going in for a pretty serious experiment today. It's with this other girl, named something with an M. Can't remember, because I've been stressing out.

As I made my way, I bumped into someone.

Looking up, I noticed she had dark red hair and violet eyes. Scared by her glare, I continued on.

Apparently we were testing how exactly our elements contrasted. A camera was in the room along with a speaker.

"We are going to film an element contrast. The stakes could be your life, so don't screw up. Hanayo, you need to use a vine, and Maki, you need to set fire to the vine. We are testing if anything else different happens than the normal contact between plant and fire." someone said, voice hooked up to the speaker.

When the two hit, they exploded.

Fire spread across the room, and I could see nothing as I screamed out. Flames spread all around and smoke filled my lungs. The redhead was unaffected, but only saw a glimpse of me.

I had been feeling depression, but now that I know what it feels like to die, I don't want to die.

I needed someone to save me.

But no one could.

I was surprised I was still alive.

The fire still... spread, and it seemed to... never... cease. Smoke... was still in my... body, like... a... plague.

I now... know.

I... love...
