Scientists have been researching.
They still want to take my magic away, but they're thinking they can concentrate it into another form, of sorts.
And, well, they did.
It didn't end very well.
I now seem to be almost in a half-liquid state, the stability of my body depending in my state of mind.
But it's really cool!
It's kind of fun to get really sad and then just kind of slip into an air vent.
But sad is bad.
And being a literal pile of liquid is bad.

I'm back to normal. I don't even understand all the science behind this.
My body is a bit unstable still, but I can go through life. The scientists probably aren't scientists anymore, but users of magic. They want to try again, with keeping my body stable. That's what we were doing.
My body was strapped to the table, and fear flowed through me. I was scared.
The syringe was pierced into my back, and I bit the pillow to stop myself from screaming. The pain seared through me as I felt my body getting weaker and weaker. The syringe was out.
A worker was changing the tip. They begun to elegantly craft something else onto my back.
Then, another syringe was placed into me, but now around my shoulder. Everything faded.
I slowly gained consciousness. I was still chained to the table, but the chains were much looser, although they weren't extremely tight before.
I had wings.
I had wings!
This would be so much better than the old unstable body. The workers explained that the wings were like prosthetics, but the magic powered them. I was told to not try to use them for a week so my body could adjust to the changes.
I reached my room, and sat on my bed. Eli looked up from the book she was reading.
What would she think?
I realized Eli's thoughts were so much more important to me than my own.
Would she think I'm a freak?
That's it. I'm a freak. This isn't normal.
Before I could control it, I was crying.
"Maki, what's wrong?" Eli asked with a calm tone in her voice.
"You think I'm a freak, don't you?" I asked.
Eli looked shocked.
"Maki. Maki, Maki, Maki." she sighed.
"...Yes?" I responded, confused where this was going.
"I don't think you're a freak at all. You're the exact opposite of that! No, the exact opposite of that is an understatement. You're literally perfect. I could never hate you. If anything, I love you." Eli said.
