Chapter 2

                                                                   Redin's POV

"There's places I have been no one should ever go. There are things that I have done no one should ever know. So were do we run? How do we trust?" Redin's melodic voice rang through his empty house as he jammed out to Blessthefall's "Skinwalkers".

He did this a lot since his father was always at work and his mother... he didn't even want to think of her. Red's dad is the chief of police for the downtown area, so he always had a lot of work piled up on him. Redin was used to the nights alone that he sometimes experienced; sure when he was younger it would bother him, but he was seventeen now. Red glanced at the clock which read 8:30 p.m. and he decided to take a shower since he had school tomorrow. After he got out and dried off he checked his phone in case his dad had texted him. Turns out he had two messages, he checked the one from his dad first.

Gonna have to take an all-nighter again, sorry.

'Yea for the third night in a row,' He thought rolling his eyes.

Its cool, He texts back.

Goodnight kid, love you

Nite dad and you too.

After that he read his other text and it was from Ashlynn, the only person that could deal with him and the only one he could tolerate.

It went on like that for an hour till they fell asleep on each other. The next thing he knows its morning and his blackberry is ringing.

"Take back every word I said, ever said to you! Since the day I was born I was blessed with a curse..."  The phone sang it was Bring Me The Horizon's "Blessed with a Curse."

"Hello?" Red answered groggily.

"How can you sleep right now?!" Ashlynn shouted without even saying hi.  

"I don't know maybe because I have no clue what is so majorly awesome to you." He responded with slight annoyance in his tone.

"WE HAVE A NEW KID COMING TO  SOUTH BULLITT AND HE'S SCENE!!!" She literally screams making Red's ears ache.

"And you know this how?" He questioned.

"He lives across the street from me. They just moved in and I saw him. He is SO hot!" She squealed.

"Yep cause I really care about that."

"Oh don't be such a douche, he has a sister coming to our school too."
