Chapter 10

Day 12:

"Harry" I said shaking him. "Is that what I think it is?" I asked. A small figure out in the middle of the ocean started to appear making its way closer to us.

Harry jumped up and down waving his arms frantically. "Grab the flare!"

I looked around for the flare and spotted it. I ran over to it and grabbed it bringing it back to Harry.

"Shoot it" he commanded.

I held it between my hands and shot it at an angle towards the boat. We watched as it started to make its way closer to us. "It's coming!" I yelled jumping into Harry's arms and kissing him passionately. "I love you." I whispered before letting go to gather my things.

"I love you too, Sof." He said grabbing his clothes and putting them on.

I packed my backpack and took the emergency kit in my hand. We stood at the shoreline our feet just grazing the water, waiting patiently for the boat to arrive.

It felt like hours before the boat arrived at the shore.

What looked like the captain came out to greet us. "What are you kids doing out here?" He asked.

"We fell over board on a cruise and-"

"You two are the kids lost at sea! There's been missing reports about you daily all around North America. Come get in. We'll get you to the closest airport. My names James by the way."

"Thank you James" I said as Harry shook his hand.

We got on the small boat and the captain began sailing away from the dreadful island. We were finally going to make it home alive, literally. I couldn't believe it.

I was sitting wrapped up in Harry's arms as we sailed the Caribbean until we arrived on land. We were able to call our parents and get on the next flight back to Florida.

"I can't believe we're going home!" I exclaimed to Harry.

It was so weird to know that just 12 days ago we had been on a school cruise and that we managed to survive the island together. Two completely opposite people coming together to survive.

"I know. I love you" Harry said. "I want you to know that."

"I know. I love you too. You don't have to worry."

"I'm just scared that I'll lose you forever when we get home. You go back to your life with all your preppy friends and I go back to being that loner kid. And all is right in the world again."

"No Harry. We were in this together, and well stay in this together. We were stranded together, but most importantly we found each other."

He kissed me sealing the deal. I really did love Harry and nothing was going to stop me from being with him.

"Mom! Dad! Charlie! I missed you so much!"

"Sofia!" They yelled running to me and embracing me in a hug, I never thought they'd let go.

"We're so glad your safe!" My mom announced practically to the whole world. After our hugs I noticed a video camera, which meant this would be all over the news tonight.

"Let's go home." My dad said. Before we left the airport I glanced over my shoulder to see Harry and his mom looking closer than ever
