The picnic had been started for nearly an hour now and everything was going well. Some of the crew and Smosh Games guys were down at the lake fishing, Ian and Anthony's moms were sitting underneath a shady tree talking about lady things while their dad's grilled the food, and everyone else, but Ian, was playing tackle football in the large field by the grilling area. Ian wanted to play, but with Flitz, Wes, and Shayne playing, he knew that he would be tackled hard and would most likely be hit in the stomach. So, Ian decided to sit in the grass and watch his husband play instead. He found it quite entertaining, especially when Anthony was out-ran and tackled to the ground by Shayne or Flitz. A little bit had passed before Lasercorn excused himself from the game and sat down next to Ian in the grass.
"Hey." He greeted.
"Hey man. What's up?"
"Sweat. You?" Ian chuckled, pulling up a couple blades of grass.
"Grass." Lasercorn nodded, a slight smile on his face.
"Why don't you come join us in football?" Lasercorn asked. "It's not like you to not want to play." Ian shook his head.
"I've not been feeling too well recently and I kinda just want to take it easy and refrain from being slaughtered by the brute squad." Ian said, nodding his head over towards Flitz, Shayne, and Wes. Lasercorn laughed.
"Can't blame ya, there. Sorry you're not feeling well, though."
"It's okay. I'm a big boy. Speaking of, how's Tyler and the wife?" Lasercorn adjusted his sitting position before answering.
"They're doing great. Tyler is starting to babble words like "da da" and "tat." Ian furrowed his eyebrows.
"Tat?"
"Yeah. He's trying to say cat. He says that when he wants the little stuffed cat that Mari got him." Ian laughed.
"That's so adorable. How is Mari, by the way? I hated to hear that she couldn't make it. Is everything okay with her and the baby?" Lasercorn shrugged his shoulders.
"She seemed fine when I talked to her yesterday. It must be some bad morning sickness or something."
"I'll call Peter later and see if everything is okay." Lasercorn nodded. Silence fell between them as they both took in the surrounding sounds of people talking and grown men yelling at one another over an oval-shaped ball. About another ten minutes later, Ian and Anthony's dads announced that the food was finished cooking. Everyone gathered around the large picnic tables and helped themselves to the plentiful hotdogs and hamburgers, chatting about random things like weather and Smosh. After everyone had eaten, Ian and Anthony looked at each other and gave "the look." It was time for the big reveal. Anthony began to walk towards their rented car while Ian stood up and called everyone's attention.
"Could both my parents and in-law parents come over this way, please?" Ian said, motioning them to come over to where he was. All four of them sat on a bench facing everyone with confused looks on their faces.
"What's going on here, son?" His dad asked.
"Anthony and I have a gif we would like to give you guys." They all still seemed confused, even when Anthony sat the large box wrapped in sliver wrapping paper down in front of them.
"What is it?" Anthony's mom asked.
"Open it and see." Ian said, gesturing to the box. When all four parents began to open the box, Anthony quickly got out his phone and began recording to capture their reactions. Ian's mom was the one to open the box, setting free the pink and blue balloons from the box. Anthony's dad laughed and grabbed them before they flew away.
"Ooo, balloons!" He exclaimed. His attention then went to the sonogram that was attached to the bottom of them. His eyes went wide and his jaw was dropped. "Shut the fuck up!" He exclaimed, getting the attention of Anthony's mom.
"What?" He showed her the sonogram and she immediately went wide eyed and let out a loud scream of happiness. "Are you kidding me!? You better not be shitting me, Anthony Padilla!" She exclaimed.
"We're not joking, mom. Ian's pregnant." As soon as Anthony said those two words, every female that was at the picnic screamed with joy, even a few of the males as well. They were both then attacked by hugs, screams, and congratulatory bro shakes.
"I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!" Courtney exclaimed, Squeezing Ian tightly. Olivia soon joined along with Ian and Anthony's moms. After everyone settled down, they all went back to their seats and continued to eat, asking Ian and Anthony questions about the baby like when it was due, how far along he was, and how he's been holding up as far as being in his first trimester. About an hour later, the picnic was winding down and people began to leave. They all gave Ian and Anthony hugs before they left and congratulated them one last time before leaving. Joven, Shayne, Noah, Sohinki, and Wes were the only ones who stayed there a little longer to help Ian and Anthony clean up. Halfway through clean up, however, Ian had begun to feel unwell again. This time, it was the worst it had ever been. His head was spinning, his stomach was churning and he felt as if he was going to faint.
"Anthony..." He groaned, sitting down at a picnic table and trying to keep himself upright. Soon, he blacked out, but not entirely. He still appeared to be awake and was able to hold himself up, but he couldn't respond. It looked like he was deep thought. Anthony's face went pale as concern rushed through him.
"Ian? Baby what's wrong?" He asked, kneeling down in front of him. Ian was unresponsive. "Ian!" Anthony exclaimed, shaking his husband a bit.
"What's wrong with him?" Shayne asked.
"I-I don't know. Ian! Baby, speak to me!" Ian's eyes then rolled back into his head as he started to fall off of the picnic table Anthony reacted quickly, catching Ian before he could hit the ground. He then started to panic when he noticed that Ian's body was shaking entirely. "What the hell!? IAN!" He exclaimed. Joven rushed over and took Ian away from Anthony, placing him on the ground and rolling him over to his side. Joven has dealt with situations like these because of his brother and knew exactly what was happening to Ian.
"He's having a seizure! Someone call 911, NOW!" Sohinki and Noah was the first ones to do so. After about two minutes, Ian's body had stopped shaking and he was foaming out of the mouth slightly. Anthony was in hysterics. He thought that the was watching his husband's death unfold right before his eyes.
"Just when we thought everything was going great..." Anthony muttered, crying heavily and holding onto Ian's hand tightly.
"Everything will be okay, Anthony. We just got to get Ian to the hospital." Joven reassured. Ian was still unconscious when the paramedics arrived. They loaded Ian up into the ambulance and let Anthony sit next to him.
"We'll meet you at the hospital!' Wes called before the paramedics closed the door and sped off.
