15) Soooo...What Now?

Chloe walked in with a case of beers in one hand a bottle of water in the other.

"Are you sure you don't want a beer?" Chloe asked as she closed the door with her her foot.

"Yuck."

"You're so cute." Chloe said.

I was surprised by her comment so surprised that it probably showed on my face.

"What? You can kiss me but I can't call you cute?" Chloe said confused.

"What why are you so cool about this?"

"Cool about what?" Chloe said actually sounding confused.

"About our...kiss?" I said in a low voice.

"Because Max we do stupid shit all the time I mean I dared you to do it...of course I didn't think you had the pair to do it...but I stand corrected." Chloe explained.

"But...this was different..."

Chloe took a drink of her beer before answering.

"Whoa Max yeah it was different but that doesn't mean that we're different? Unless you..."

Chloe hinted.

"What! No ew gross." I blurted out.

"Okay didn't know I sucked that hard at kissing." Chloe said taking a huge chug of her beer.

"No that's not what I meant..."

"Maxaphone don't worry I get what you mean." Chloe laughed.

"Okay." I said embarrassed.

"Quick question though."

"Okay." I answered as she began to drink more.

"How was it?"Chloe said and I couldn't tell if she was joking or asking an actual question.

"This is a serious question right?"

"No shit Max." She chuckled.

"Well...how did you feel about?"

"Even though that's hella unfair for you to ask I'll answer honestly. I thought you were great." Chloe nudged.

"Really?"

"Yeah for a girl that only had one boyfriend your a decent kisser." She said. I don't know if that's a compliment or a insult.

"What about me Mad Max?" Chloe asked.

I tried for think back to when I was kissing Chloe i thought about the details and for some reason....

"I can't remember?" I answered.

"You can't remember? Even though it just happened a few seconds ago?"

Chloe was actually on her 4th beer and I didn't realize it until she finished the one she had in her hand.

"Yeah..." I said embarrassed.

There was a pause but Chloe opened her 5th drink and taking a gulp of that. She swayed a little bit indicated that she was probably feeling the alcohol.

"Are you drunk?"

"Max..." She said grabbing my arms.

"Yes Chloe." I said surprised.

"Do you really...not remember ?" Chloe asked.

Shes drunk.
