25) Suck it!

-Chloe-
"What?" I asked surprised.

"Nothing..." Max said looking away.

Curiosity took over me.

"What are you talking about Max?"

"I said it was nothing." She said her expression looking angrier.

"If it was nothing you wouldn't have said it." I stated.

"Okay fine..." Max sighed. "Yeah I'm hanging with a friend but your hanging out with someone who has been bitch to me ever since I've been in Blackwell how I am suppose to feel when my Bestfriend is hanging around my enemy?" Max busted out.

I've never seen her this upset. She turned around her not letting me see her face.

"I-..."

"And by the way." Max cut me off. "You guys seemed way to close to be friends if you asked me."

"What do you mean by that?" I asked confused again.

"You guys looked on more on a date then me and Warren."

Chloe was surprised at my comment but she looked surprised the whole time.

It took a while before she spoke.

"Me and Victoria aren't like that." Chloe stated.

"Are sure about that?" My adrenaline was pumping so much that I said whatever was in my head and didn't have a second thought about it.

"Yes Max I'm sure that's weird."

"Didn't seem that weird to me."

"Well I don't like Victoria like that."

That caused relief to rush through my body stopping my adrenaline.

"Okay?" Chloe asked.

"Okay." I answered back.

"I don't understand why your so mad it's not that big of a deal."

My adrenaline began to move again.

"It's a huge fucking deal Chloe!"

"Why?" She said in such a confused tone that it pissed me off more.

"What do you mean why?!"

"I'm so confused."

"Here lemme put it into simple terms for you." I said copying Chloe's words. "My best friend just went on a date with a someone I dislike."

"It wasn't a date!" Chloe stated.

"Was there anybody else with you?"

"No but-..."

"But nothing." I cut her off.

"Oh so that's the case with you and Warren?" Chloe shot back.

"I told you that there was nothing between me and Warren."

"And I told you there was nothing between me and Victoria."

"Chloe if you want to hang out with Victoria more than me then just say so!" I finally stated.

Chloe's face was surprised but also mixed with something else.

"Max..." She said calmly. "Is that what this is about?"

"I don't know anymore..." I admitted. "I don't know what to think Chloe...that's why you need to tell me...."

"Max there's no way it hell I would choose Victoria over you." Chloe said grabbing my arm.

I didn't know what else to say so many things were going on in my head and I still couldn't keep up with this conversation. So I just hugged Chloe.

"Thank god." Chloe sighed. "I didn't think I can hold on to our conversations anymore." She said as she leaned against me and while she hugged back.

"What are you talking about?"

"Max...I'm still drunk....and high....my-...my brain is all kinds of fucked." Chloe stuttered.

"Oh shit I forgot." I said as I helped her on her bed. "I'm surprised you got caught up with everything." I giggled.

"I'm surprised too...wait...what am I surprised about?" Chloe slurred.

I laughed more at her drunk/high talk.

"Do you need anything Chloe?" I asked as I set her down so she laid on her bed.

"I need to know if we're okay" Chloe said as she stared at me.

"Yeah we're okay." I smiled.

"Good." Chloe said closing her eyes. "Cause I fucking love you Max."

"I love you too Chloe." I partly laughed at her slurring comment.

I waited till her eyes slowly shut. Then, I started to walk away to exit out of her room.

"Max wait." She said causing me to turn around and walk back to her.

"Jesus Chloe you scared me." I said startled. "What is it?"

"Can I tell you something?" She said her eyes closed again.

"I don't know if you should talk while your drunk slash high Chloe." I said.

"No don't worry it's funny. Come here." She said telling me to come closer to her like she was telling a secret.

"Okay." I said leaning in ready to hear what she had to say.

"Okay so..." She whispered.

"So..." I said to her.

Then I felt her grab my face and kiss me again...on the lips. I didn't have time to react because it all happened so fast and then it was over. I stayed there next to Chloe shocked at what just happened.

Chloe smiled and continued what she was saying. "Tell-...tell Warren to suck it." She chuckled.

"O-..okay." I stuttered.

"Okay cool your dismissed." Chloe said as she seemed to drift off into sleep.

"Okay..." I said again as I exited Chloe's room still not comprehending what happen.

This is the third time we kissed...
