Hawkstar's Review of Soul Surfer
_____
*Yawn* when can I leave the theater? My sister drug me to see this lame excuse for a movie at the dollar theater after she'd seen it I don't know how many times. The movie (though I'd heard nothing about it before she took me) was a lame and predictable true story filled with actors that in no way represented their real-life counterparts. Just sitting through the countless perviews for "Christian Films" was torture. Who knew there were so many suckers for that crap? Does anyone actually think things happen that way? I mean really, she learns to surf with one arm, woohoo? Who cares, she gives up on her dreams and accepts that she's a loser. I mean really, don't write a crappy book about it so that you can be paid big bucks to make an even crappier movie about it. I did not see the "christian" message in this movie. All I saw was a girl who got lucky. Because guess what, God's "perfect plan" for the rest of us just might not lead us anywhere successful. The soundtrack was just your typical island themed soundtrack, the acting wasn't the best, and in my opinion the movie just sucked in general.

*This is an opinionated article, I do not mean to offend anyone. I know many people were... overly fond... of this movie. Keep it to yourself if you have something mean to say. Thanks*
