CHAPTER 2
We walked off the train and in front of us, coincidently, was Draco, Pansy and Blaise. They hadn't noticed me or the others. 'Hermione. What's going on with you and Draco?' Ginny whispered in my ear, making sure no one could hear her. 'Nothing. I don't even know what's going on at the moment,' I whisper back, 'I'm as confused as you are.' I could see Hagrid helping the new first years. Their little faces were adorable. Excited, nervous, just like how we were. 'I really, really, really do hope I'm in Gryffindor!' A little girl with two blond bunches in her hair squealed. She turned to me and saw my robes, with the Gryffindor sign on the left. She gave me a massive grin and I answered her with, 'I hope you're put into Gryffindor too.' She smiled even more. Someone poked me in the back, and I saw not Harry, Ginny, Ron, Neville, or Luna, but Draco Malfoy smirking. 'She does look like a Gryffindor…' He nodded his head. 'Argh. What do you want?' I roll my eyes. 'Nothing… just thought she did have the 'Gryffindor Look' about her.' Malfoy winked. 'And may I ask, what the 'Gryffindor Look' is?' I say sarcastically. 'Well, extremely pretty,' he grinned, 'excited, brave and… I think thats it.' He said as we walked into the entrance hall in Hogwarts. I could feel my cheeks blushing, as I had just realised what he had said. 'You've gone bright red, Granger.' He said quietly. I open my eyes wide and said, 'No I have not.' His grey eyes narrowed as he threw his head back, chuckling. 'Yes, you have… why are you though?' He stopped laughing. I had nothing to answer back with… 'Wow…… Hermione Granger… lefted with no words to say.' He stared at me in amazement. I stared into his grey eyes, and remembered how I had dreamt about him? Why? Well I knew why… The way his blonde hair casually laid over his pale, pointed, handsome face. The way his grey eyes looked like clouds in the sky, not horrible ones which appeared when it was about to rain, but relaxing ones. His smile was completely unforgettable, and I guess his perosnality was as well… not in a good way…… 'Granger? Granger hello? Wake up,' he snapped his fingers in my face, 'you need to go to your table.' I blinked my eyes several times and shook my head quickly, to get out the thought. 'Oh. Right.' I said, as I left him standing and walked over to sit next to Harry and Ginny, and across from Ron, Dean and Seamus. 'How was your holiday boys?' Hermione asked Dean and Seamus. 'Seamus stayed at mine for a week…… he struggled living in a muggle community.' Dean laughed. 'Weird muggles are…… I mean, I know my Dad was a muggle… but I had never lived with a family of them. And it was a long time since I used a microwave.' Seamus said. 'A what?' Ron and Ginny said together. 'A microwave,' said Dean, 'is an electric machine which muggles use. We use it to heat up foods, if we want something to be warmed up quickly.' Ron and Ginny nodded their heads.
We were leaving The Great Hall. The girl who wanted to be in Gryffindor, got into Gryffindor. I had to lead the first years to the Gryffindor Common Room, as I was head Girl, and coincidently Draco was Head Boy… When our house had found out, all of them groaned with annoyance. 'Follow me Gryffindor First Years!' I called over all the little bobing heads. Usually it was the prefects who did this job, but Professor McGonagall said she wanted the Head Boy and Girl to lead their houses, Slytherin and Gryffindor. I lead them into our common room and showed them around. 'Wow!' 'Look at that!' 'No way!' They all whispered. As I left them to go and tell Professor McGonagall that I had done my job, she walked into me on the stairs. 'I've settled the first years into the common room. I'll go up there now, to go to bed.' I say excitedly. Professor Mcgonagall looked confused. 'That is what you wanted me to do.' I said. 'Oh yes, or course it was. I thought i had told you, you wouldn't be living in the Gryffindor Common Room anymore? Maybe I didn't. You will be sleeping in the Head Girl room. Follow me Miss Granger.' McGonagall walked up the stairs, and I followed, passing the paintings wishing me a good welcome back. She led us to a long hall way, and at the end of it was a arched wooden door. She walked down there, and turned the handle with her hand. 'This is where you shall be staying.' Inside, was warm and really comforting. The sofa was a dark, elegant grey. Except, there was someone laying across it, with no top on. Their chest was bare. 'Oh, hi Granger.' Draco Malfoy stood up and his eyes went to Professor McGonagall, who had already left the room… 'You're sharing a room with me?' I raised my eyebrows. 'Yep. Great isn't it?' he said coolly. As much I loved him, I knew I didn't want to go as far as sharing a room with him…
