CHAPTER 9
I woke up in the morning, lying on the sofa with Draco, both of us wrapped in a blanket. Draco was still asleep and I had no means to wake him up. I got up and went up to my room, and got changed, when I came back down, Draco had taken up the entire sofa. I was ready for breakfast and was about to leave when I thought I should take my wand with me. After the Blaise incident, I think it would be smart to stay protected. I picked it up and put it in my pocket and slid my hand inside so I could hold onto it. I stepped out o the portait hole and on the staircase. Some Ravenclaw and Gryffindor first years were laughing about something, but when they saw me, they gave me a sad look. Behind them was Ginny. She saw me and smiled. I waited for her. 'Morning.' Ginny smiled. 'Morning.' I said. 'Sleep well?' I asked. She yawned and nodded. We were walking through an empty corridor. 'Hermione… do you feel as if…?' Ginny whispered and stopped walking. I frowned at her and looked at her scared looking face. I had know idea what she was talking about. 'What are you talking about?' Ginny turned around and looked all around us. 'I can feel someone watching us…' Ginny grabbed my hand, and swallowed loudly. I listened silently. 'Ginny… s-stop it…y-you're scary m-me…' I stuttered. She didn't answer. 'Ginny lets move!' I yanked her hand, but she stood still. I had completely forgotten how strong Ginny was. I turned around and saw Ginny already turned around, and was staring at the 4 male Slytherins walking slowly towards us. Ginny held tighter on to my hand na dragged us back to start running. We were running at full speed but on the other end of the corridor came 4 other male Slytherins, walking slowly. We were trapped. 'Ginny,' I whispered, 'Ginny what do we do?' She carried on looking at the Slytherins who were on the other end and turned around to the other ones who had first appeared. 'What do you want?!' Ginny shouted at them. They sniggered. I pulled Ginny to the wall, where we had our backs to it. It made no difference, the Slytherin's could still see us. I knew we would never be able to take down 8 wizards, when there were only 2 of us. 'What are 2 pretty Gryffindor's like yourselves doing down here?' One of the boys called out. Ginny and I remained silence. 'We were on our way to breakfast!' I shouted. Apparently it was really hilarious to want to go to breakfast, as they all snickered at each other. 'Ginny, it's breakfast, I doubt they'll have their wands on them.' I mumured. 'I do.' Ginny said. 'Me too. But how do we know they don't?' I asked, and noticed how much closer the Slytherins had got. 'We don't know.' She said. 'What do you want!?' I screamed. 'Leave us alone!' Suddenly, the Slytherins ran forwards, then turned towards the wall we were leaning on and made a cirle around us. They all had an evil grin on their faces. I felt Ginny let go of my hand. 'Stupefy!' She pointed her wand at a blonde Slytherin, who dropped onto the floor. I knew hell was about to break loose. Next minute, 2 Slytherin boys grabbed Ginny. I was about to take my wand out, but somone grabbed me from around the neck. 2 boys came in front of both Ginny and I, whilst the others held onto us. 'Let go of me!' I struggled. 'Believe me, I don't want to be holding onto a mudblood!' The boy who was holding me said. The 2 boys in front of us held their wands out at both os us and shouted at the same time, 'Stupefy!' And everything went black.
