So basically, in the last chapter some of you might have seen that Draco claimed that his Father, Lucius, found out about their relationship. I decided that it's way to early for such drama, and changed the plan! If you don't know what's happening now, go back onto Chapter 6, to read the end or re-read it. :) Thanks!
CHAPTER 7
I was walking down the stairs, and the school was strangely quiet. I knew I had to return to my next lesson. Defence Against The Dark Arts. I walked into the class, and all heads were on me. Professor Snape was staring back at me at the front of the class. 'How lovely for you to…join us Miss Granger.' He said coldy. I gritted my teeth and went to sit down next to Dean Thomas. 'Hermione, are you alright? You look awful.' He whispered. But before I could answer, Snape did. 'Mr Thomas perhaps you would like to join me in detention for two weeks?' Dean shook his head and looked down at his parchment. 'Today, I want you to learn how to cast a spell or hex, without saying it. Use your mind, and try and control it. Begin!' He shouted and clapped his hands. Everyone stood up, and spells, and hex's were going past everywhere. Dean and I stood up, and started working. 'Reducto!' Dean pointed at a solid objet on the floor, and it gave a loud bang, and turned into ashes. 'Dean, we're not allowed to say it.' I pulled a straight face at him. He shrugged his shoulders and said, 'Show me how to do it then Hermione.' I sighed and pulled my wand out and pointed at the solid object on the ground, next to the pile of ashes, which Dean had caused. I focused on the object and said in my head, 'Reducto!' Nothing happened… 'Slick aren't you Hermione.' Dean chuckled kindly. 'Oh shut up.' I laughed.
At the end of the day, I had completely forgotton about what had happened, between Draco, Pansy and I. I was walking to dinner, and started wondering where Draco was. Dean was walking next to me, and could obviously tell something was wrong. 'Who you looking for?' He nudged me elbow. 'Oh, no-one…' I said, as we sat down next to each other, at the Gryffindor table. As we were sitting opposite the Slytherin table, I could try and scan my eyes to find Draco. Found him. There he was sitting alone, and looking down at his plate. I looked up at the staff table, and noticed that none of the teachers were here. 'It's disgusting though!' Someone shouted form the Slytherin table. The hall became quieter but still had a lot of talking going on. A girlish, fake laugh came from Pansy Pakinson, who was sitting inbetween Blaise and some other handsome boy. The unknown boy next to her called down the table, in Draco's direction. 'Blood traitor!' He laughed with his friends, and Pansy. 'Blonde blood traiter!' A brunette shouted down at him. I could feel warm tears in my eyes, and when I looked at Draco, my eyesight was misty. 'Just ignore it Hermione…' Dean whispered into my ear. I nodded my head, and my tears spalshed onto the golden plates beneath my face.
The next day I woke up, got ready and went down to the sitting room of Draco and I's dormitry. Draco was waiting for me, holding his books and smiling hopefully up at me. 'Alright Hermione?' He held out his hand, and that's when I noticed how tired his eyes looked. 'Draco, you look awful…' I moved closer towards him. 'I'm just tired…Dumbledore's letting me stay if you were wondering…' He said awkwardly and a grin grew on his face. 'I can see that.' I grinned. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a kiss. I could feel his tongue poking mine, and his hands moved up my back and held the back of my neck lightly. He came away and began to kiss my jaw line. 'Draco, we need to go to lessons. It's Friday, tomorrow we have a whole day free to ourselves. Come on.' I grabbed his hand and led us out of the portrait hole. We were walking down the corridor, and in front of us, were a group of Slytherin's. 'Hold onto my hand tightly.' Draco said quietly. As they passed they stared at us. 'I see you're with your little mudblood of a girlfriend!' Blaise sniggered, as the other Slytherins burst out laughing,(Pansy's was obviously the loudest). Draco let go my hand and pushed Blaise up against a wall. 'Say that again!' He shouted. 'Draco stop!' I tried to pull him off, but he was far to strong. 'You heard what I said Draco.' Blaise said coolly. Draco moved his hand towards Blaise's neck and held it even tighter. 'Draco stop it!' Pansy and I both shouted at the exact same time. Surprised as we both were, we shot a glance at each other and looked back at Draco. Blaise was starting to cough and choke. 'Draco! Stop it! You're going to kill him!' I screamed. But he didn't listen. The other Slytherin's were cheering Blaise to try and fight back, but it was clear he wasn't going to win. Too quickly, Blaise punched Draco in the stomach, causing Draco to crouch down to hold where he had been hit. Blaise kneed him in the face, and tried to walk away, but Draco got up and pulled him back and slammed him against the wall. 'Don't you dare call her a mudblood!' Draco yelled at him. People were crowding around in a circle. Blaise got Draco by the collar of his shirt and said, 'Or what?! What you gunna do?!' He slammed Draco against the wall, and punched him in the face, causing me to scream. I don't know why I did it, but I ran up to Blaise and punched his arm, making him drop Draco on the ground. Blaise turned slowly to me, and wrinkled up his nose. Before I could move out the way, he punched me in the face, and I fell back onto the ground. Draco stood up, and everything was in slow motion. He looked down at me then his head turned slowly to Blaise, and he reached his arms out at him, but Dean came running into the circle and pulled him back. I could feel my warm blood gushing from my nose, and it hurt so much. 'I swear to God, if you touch her again, I'll kill you!' He tried to struggle out of Dean's hold. Ron and Harry came to help me up and made sure I was alright. 'Stay away from her Blaise!' Ron shouted at him. He sniggered, and walked over to Pansy, held her hand and they walked off. Draco stopped struggling, and Dean let him go and made sure he didn't go after Blaise. Draco walked up to me and pulled out a piece of tissue and started dabbing my nose. 'I won't let him touch you. I'm not going to let him get away with it.' He mumbled. 'Draco, leave it. Just forget about it. I'm fine.' I said. 'Don't lie Hermione. He punched you.' Dean said. 'He can't do that to you…' Padma Patil said carringly. 'It's fine. Let's forget about everything. And go back to our lessons.' I walked off, leaving the circle of people staring at the back of me.
