CHAPTER 3
I stared at Malfoy as he stared back. 'Well it's good to see you Granger.' I looked up at him. His eyebrows were raised. 'Thanks. Good to see you I guess, Malfoy.' I said back. 'Don't think I know why you probably don't want to talk to me.' He said quietly, as a shudder was sent up my back. 'Why's that then?' I say shakingly. I heard him laugh under his breath. 'Mudblood. Geek. Don't think I don't remember the words I used to call you. And guess what? I regret it all.' He turned me around and was so close to me, I could smell his minty breath. 'Oh r-really?' I say nervously. He leaned even closer, pushing me against a wall. 'Are you scared of me Granger?' He grinned. I shook my head. 'No! No way! Of course not!' I spluttered out. How could he think I was?…… Even though his parents are Death Eaters. 'Good.' He said, and pressed his lips against mine. Without knowing, or even thinking, my lips kissed back, our lips moving together. His hands were still beside me, on the level of my head on the wall I was leaning on. I was trapped, and had nowhere to go. 'I have to go to bed.' I come away, and walk towards my room. He pulled my wrist to face him. 'What?' He smileed at me and said, 'Goodnight then. See you in the morning.'
I got up early, got washed, dressed, got my books and equipment, and my wand. I walked down into the the common room and sat down and did some reading and studying. There was a knock at the door. I waited, and then it happened again. I sighed and got up to pull open the portrait, seeing Pansy Parkinson. 'Why the hell are you in my Draco's room?!' She stamped her foot. 'I'm Head Girl you stupid -' But before I could finish, she had pushed me away and stormed through the portrait hole. 'Draco! Draco!' She shouted repeatedly as Draco didn't come down. She carries on shouting, whilst I read Hogwarts: A History. 'Draco! Will you please come down?' She stomped her foot once again. The sound of a creak filled the room. I look up to see a tired Draco, his hair ruffled, no top on, and a moody look on his face. 'What in the name of Merlin's Beard are you yelling at?! It's too early to be shouting Pansy! Why're you even here?' He ruffles his hair, leaving Pansy speechless. 'I thought - well you know - I just though you would want to -' She fiddled with her thumbs and said, 'I'll see you at breakfast.' And walks out, leaving me sniggering. 'Something funny Granger?' Draco said, smiling weakly. I shake my head.
As it was the first studying day back at Hogwarts, it was extremely busy in the corridors. Harry, Ron, Ginny and I were stumbling through the crowd. It was mainly full of first years, trying to find classrooms, toilets, the Great Hall, the Quidditch pitch, and some other years, just trying to find their lessons. But something had caught my eye. In front of me, to the right, was Pansy being pushed up against a wall, her lips attached to Draco Malfoy's. His hands were both on different sides of Pansy's head, as her hands were wrapped around his pale neck. It felt as if someone had shot me in the heart. As I was falling from a cliff. 'Bloody hell…' mummered Ron. 'Wow.' Harry frowned. 'Merlins Beard! Get a bloody room!' Ginny shouted loudly, causing the whole corridor to burst out laughing. Draco came away from Pansy, who was looking completely flustered, and looked Ginny in the eye and gave her a cold look. Then his grey eyes met mine. I could feel my face burning with anger. 'Come on. We'll be late for potions.' I walk along, blanking Malfoy as we walk past him. I was sure I hear his voice murmur my name, sounding sorry. Sorry? I don't want an apoligy? For what? If he wants to go snogging of Pansy's face… let him do that. The only thing I care about right now, is my education. Not Draco Malfoy. We walk into the Potions room, and in 5 minutes start brewing our potions. I still had an angry feeling inside of me. 'Hermione… You're crushing the seed…' Harry said confusingly. I looked down at my hands. Like Harry said, I was peircing the seed with the tip of my knife, causing all the juice to splatter on my robes. 'Oh.' I mumbled. Well that wasn't a good way to let out my feelings.
The day had gone on, and on, when I decided it would be a good idea,to have a trip to the library. When I arrived, it was fairly busy. I found a quiet aisle and began reading Hogwarts: A History. It truly was an amazing, fascinating book. It told you everything. And it would always take my mind off things. I began reading, when a snobby whisper echoed around the aisle. 'Granger! Oi Mudblood! Granger!' Pansy Parkinson leaned her head into the aisle and smiled, the most evil smile she could have ever pulled. 'Hello Pansy.' I said simply. 'Don't talk to me so simply! You should be showing me respect, Mudblood!' She narrowed her dark eyes. I shurgged my shoulders. 'You haven't earnt my respect.' I look down at my book and begin to read again. 'Levicorpus!' My body is flung upside down and i begin to dangle. I hear cruel giggling as Pansy stares up at me. 'Let me down! Now Pansy! Leave me alone!' I shouted at her. 'Say please…?' She said with a babyish accent. 'Please!' I could feel my blood going down to my head. 'Ok then!' She lowered her wand and I dropped onto the floor, smacking my head. 'Ow!' I yelled, and reached inside my pocket for my wand. Before she could react, before she even knew, I shouted, 'Stupefy!' Causing her body to fly back a bit, and hit the ground, where she lay unconscious. 'Bitch.' I mumbled under my breath and stepped over her limp body and walked on my way to my common room.
