Annabeth POV

Please tell me that's not a dress, I thought in my mind.

A dress. An actual dress. Stupid Aphrodite.

"I'm not wearing a dress!" I muttered.

But I knew I would have to. And the heels that came with it, too.

I got ready, with the wig and contacts and everything. I muttered Ancient Greek profanities as I tried to step around in the heels.

I sighed and went outside. I waited for the bus while I was shivering a bit. I wondered if Aphrodite wanted me to suffer in the cold wearing a a dress that only went to mid-thigh. Not to mention the sleeveless top of it. Shaking my head at Aphrodite's stupidity, I rubbed my arms. The bus arrived, and I climbed in. I clutched my book bag and sat down in an empty seat. As the bus drove to the school, I thanked the gods for the heating on the bus.

"Annalise!" someone said in the seat behind me.

I turned my head to see the unmistakable almond eyes of Lauren.

"Hi, Lauren," I greeted.

She looked around before quickly slipping out of her seat into mine.

"Hey! I didn't realize you were on my bus," she said.

"Yeah, I didn't realize you were either," I told her.

Lauren took in my clothes.

"What are you wearing? It's freezing!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah," I said, rubbing my arms,"I don't know what I'm wearing either."

Lauren looked at me with a confused look before reaching into her bag.

"Here, I have an extra sweater," she mumbled, still rummaging through her bag.

She finally found it and yelled out,"Aha! Got it!"

She then handed me a black sweater. I thanked her before putting it on. The rest of the ride was silent for the both of us because we had nothing to talk about. We arrived at the school and walked in together.

"See you in homeroom," I told her as I went off to my locker, stumbling on my heels the whole way.

"Yeah, see ya!" Lauren said and went to her own locker.

I saw Percy waiting for me by our lockers. His face brightened up at the sight of me, and I walk over to him.

"Hey," I said, opening up my locker.

"What are you wearing?" he immediately asks.

I looked at him.

"What, I can't wear a dress?" I questioned jokingly.

Percy rolled his eyes.

"Aphrodite again?" he asked.

I nodded my head distastefully.

"Of course it is."

After I got ready with everything, we walked to homeroom together. Minho was already there in his chair. When we walked in, he turned around to face us.

"I've been expecting you," he said with a creepy ring to his voice.

I could see Lauren, who was right next to him, roll her eyes.

"He's expecting 50 dollars from me," she said.

"And I'll get it! So, are you guys dating now? Huh?" Minho asked.

I smile.

"We are dating," I announce to them.

Lauren looked at Minho, Percy and me in horror while Minho looked so happy.

"I told you!" he exclaimed to Lauren.

"What?!" Lauren nearly shouted.

It was a good thing only we were in the room because it was total chaos.

"You couldn't have waited until tomorrow to ask her out, Percy?" Lauren demanded.

"50 bucks!" Minho exclaimed.

Percy laughed at Lauren.

"And Annalise! Why did you say yes knowing that I would have to pay 50 dollars?!"

"50 bucks, Lauren!"

Lauren was clearly annoyed. I smiled at the two of them and looked back at Percy. We shared a knowing smirk and faced back at them.

"Shut up, Minho," Lauren warned.

"50 bucks, 50 bucks, 50 bucks!"

"Minho..."

"50 bucks, my little honey bee," Minho smugly said.

Lauren then started yelling at him in a foreign language, which Minho replied back in. They both yelled at each other in that other language. I looked back at Percy with question in my eyes.

"What are they speaking?" I ask him.

"Korean," he answered, "They're both Korean, and they slip into it when they're yelling at each other. Don't worry, they'll get over it soon."

By then, other students started coming into homeroom. They were all staring at the bickering couple, but the two didn't stop yelling at each other.

"Is this normal?" I asked Percy.

He nodded.

I looked at the crowd surrounding Lauren and Minho to see many with their phones out, recording the scene. Only when Miss Hartfeld came in did the crowd split up into seats and they stopped bickering at each other.

The rest of the day was pretty much uneventful because Brianna wasn't there. Dean pretty much avoided Percy and me for some reason. At lunch, Minho, Lauren, Percy and I sat at a table with a few of Percy's other friends.

"Lauren still hasn't given me my 50 bucks," Minho grumbled as soon as Percy and I sat down.

"Well, you don't have to," Percy said.

Lauren's eyes brightened up.

"Really? Why?" she asked.

"What? Why?" Minho questioned at the same time.

"We'll tell you later," I whispered.

The rest of lunch was uninteresting as Percy's other friends talked about the swim team. I silently ate and thought things over. Why was everything so peaceful today, besides the whole Minho and Lauren incident? Dean wasn't bothering us, the girls weren't attacking Percy, and Brianna wasn't here. I guess there's a peace before a storm. I just had to wait for the storm.
