Percy POV

"So, what are you going to tell us?" Minho asked.

We were in my room, about to reveal Annabeth's true identity. Lauren looked antsy, and Minho like he was going to burst with the suspense.

"Well," Annabeth started,"My name isn't really Annalise."

Minho raised his eyebrow, but he didn't interrupt.

"What are you talking about?" Lauren asked.

"Shush, Lauren," Minho said.

Lauren glared at him, but stayed quiet.

"My hair isn't this color, and neither are my eyes. My name is Annabeth Chase, and I am Percy's girlfriend."

Minho opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, Annabeth kept talking.

"I'm from California, and I came here to be with Percy. I have this wig and these contacts on to see what Percy is like without me there. We thought it would be weird to show up with me blond and gray-eyed the next day, so I kept the disguise," Annabeth explained.

"So... Annabeth is real?" Minho asked.

I rolled my eyes.

"Obviously," I muttered.

"So, ha! They are dating. Give me my fifty dollars!" he exclaimed.

"Ah, ah, hold up," Lauren said, holding her hand up at his face.

"Annabeth, isn't Annalise, is she? And I think you specifically said Annalise will date Percy."

"Well, they're still the same person!"

"Yeah, but different name, hair, and eyes."

Annabeth made a point of this by taking off her wig.

Minho frowned.

"So... I don't get fifty dollars?" he asked.

"Nope," Lauren said with a smug smile as she poked his nose, "In fact, I think you owe me fifty dollars."

Minho's frown deepened. Grumbling, he reached for his wallet and pulled out the money. Lauren reached for it, but he pulled it back.

"Say, 'Please,'" Minho ordered.

Annabeth laughed as Lauren rolled her eyes.

"Please," she grumbled.

Then, Minho said something in Korean that I couldn't understand and pointed to his cheek. Lauren rolled her eyes again, but placed a peck on his cheek.

"That's my good honey bee."

"Now give me that," Lauren said, snatching the 50 dollar bill away.

________________________________________________

Lauren and Minho had gone home while Annabeth stayed at my apartment. My mom had told us to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner. I drove while Annabeth sat shotgun, finishing homework.

"You know you can finish that at home, right?" I asked her.

"I know, you seaweed brain. Anyway, I already finished my homework. This is yours," she said.

I raised my eyebrow, "I already finished mine."

Annabeth sighed.

"Well, you were rushing. Half of this is wrong. I'm correcting it for you."

I scoffed.

"I don't need no Athena child correcting my homework. I'm smart enough," I declared with a smile on my face.
