"It's so hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.."
Muscular arms wrapped around my torso as my body instantly reacted to his touch, his breath fanning over my neck having my body shiver in the slightest pleasure.
"Treasure," his masculine voice sent vibrations down my spine as I spun around in his strong arms. His gorgeous appearance nearly taking my breath away as I slowly let my eyes roam his perfect being.
"You shouldn't be in here," my voice was soft as his hand caressed my bare face, my makeup not yet on for my party.
After all the time together I was still self conscious around the god of a man. Standing with spongebob pajamas on, hair in a messy bun and makeup less I had never felt so ugly in my life as my arms instantly wrapped around my bulging stomach.
"I couldn't wait any longer my beautiful treasure," the playful smirk light up his face as his eyes held nothing but love and devotion.
"I love you Sapphire, my sweet treasure," he groaned out before molding his lips to mine.
"Shit!" I cursed as I bolted from bed, breathing heavily as I tried to control the tears that threatened to spill at the unwanted memory of the man I loved.
Maybe it hadn't been such a good idea drinking another bottle of wine the minute Kieran dropped me off home.
After his countless questions and the bitter dinner with my parents and them I just wanted to forget the world.
Cry the last tears for the man and get on with my life.
They were just as bad as each other, a manipulative bitch and a cheating liar; they can have each other.
My phone rang continuously on my bedside table as dread set in. I already knew I would have countless messages from my mother scolding my behavior, Elisa would of text constantly for the gossip and Kieran probably continued to text me once I had fell asleep last night.
The clock read 6 o'clock as I rolled my eyes, of course my mother would be the only one wanting to give their daughter a scolding at 6 o'clock in the morning. She could never stay mad at me though, a fancy event would be coming up soon and she will no doubt need me to go and represent our "perfect" family.
"What?" I growled threw the phone as I stood from bed, thankful I didn't have a massive hangover.
"I see you are still full of attitude," my mothers annoying voice filled my ear as I cringed away, it was far to early for her bullshit.
"Cut the crap mother," I muttered impatiently as I strolled to the kitchen, turning the coffee machine on as I smiled at the cleaner, Monita, on the way. Whispering a quick sorry to her as I remembered the state I left the place in last night.
"All that money must be going to your head to make you so disrespectful," she growled disapprovingly, "the way you spoke to poor Sasha was just not acceptable!"
I smiled in satisfaction as the machine beeped indicating my little cut of energy was ready.
"That was me being nice mother," I sighed as I grabbed my laptop from my bag, placing it on my table before pulling out some files from my hand bag to work on before work. It was no secret my work controlled my life. I liked it that way though it meant I had no time to worry about anything or anyone.
"You will apologize immediately!" my mother continued to scold as I placed my phone on the table on loud speaker so I could get on with some work.
"No,"
"What the hell do you mean no young lady!"
"I mean she deserved every insult and some more and I will not apologize to such a tart of a woman," my mothers gasp filled my large kitchen as I smiled at her annoyance. The woman was infuriating, playing her at her own suborn game never failed to amuse me.
"You have to get over the past, it was better for everyone that he left you for her," it was no secret my mother loved Sasha more than me, her own daughter, she spent our teenage years trying to get her with one of my brothers, luckily they saw her for the tart she was. It was still painful though, the fact my mother could do and say such things to me.
"It must run in the family you know, to be cheated on? How is fathers mistresses?" I laughed mockingly, wanting to hurt her as much as she hurt me over the past few years.
"How dare you! Your father does not cheat on me!" she all but screeched down the phone as I scrolled through my many emails.
"So you are the one that gave him the love bite he was sporting last night? I very much doubt that considering he doesn't even spare you a glance. Not to mention I saw one of the Latin maids leaving your room several times when I spent that month in your house last year. Gorgeous woman," I couldn't help but feel guilty and if she was any other women I would of been begging for forgiveness but this women didn't deserve a thing from me.
"How dare you, you littl-," sighing in frustration I pressed the end button, terminating the phone call as I sighed in exhaustion.
"Monita?" I called gently to the elderly housewife as she made an appearance at the kitchen door, a loving smile on his old face.
"Yes dear?" why couldn't I have someone as sweet as her for my mother.
"You can take the week off, wouldn't want you missing any time with your son and grandchildren," I smiled as I drank the rest of my coffee, the wide smile on her face cheering me up slightly. The woman had been so excited for her family to visit her whilst they came on their vacation.
"Oh thank you, you angel!" she waddled over to me, placing a kiss onto my cheek before gathering her things to leave.
My peace didn't last long as a loud knock on the door tore me away from my computer screen, why the hell did my security let someone through so early on a Tuesday morning.
"I swear to Zeus Elisa you bett-" the words quickly died within me as part of my heart died at the same time.
"I see I need to scold my security," I muttered as I glared at the man in front of me.
"My treasure got violent I see."
