His wings spread about thirteen feet across, as Avery's is, and they were as dark as night, and felt as though you were touching the finest silk. It wore no shirt and I had to stop myself from looking at its perfectly chiseled chest. The Avery-Thing smirked at me and took a step closer. I was backed up against a tree. I had no where to go. Instead of ten feet away, like he were before, now he was mere inches from my face.
"What are you?" I whispered. The Avery-Thing laughed. "What am I? I, am your worst nightmare, darling." I looked around everywhere, everywhere but the Avery-Thing. "I have a name you know." It snapped. I gasped. It had heard my thoughts. "I am Adrian."
I tried to look for a way around him, but was disappointed when I found none. "What do you want?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
He laughed. "He has business with you." I had an idea of who he was talking about."Who?" I asked.
"Your master." he answered with a mysterious sparkle in his eye.
"Which is?" I asked prompted.
"God."
"What does he want with me?"
"He wants to discuss why you Fell."
"Huh?"
"Did you honestly think your mother was a Heavenly Angel?" Adrian laughed in my face.
I glared at him. "Yes."
"Will you come with me?"
"Good bye Adrian." I said then I used my power to fling him across the forest, roughly twenty feet.
I whirled around and started running through the forest. "You can't get away! I will find you!" Adrian screamed from behind me. I ran and ran until I ran out of the forest, to where I stashed my car. I quickly jumped in and grabbed my keys. I started my car and swore I saw him standing at the edge of the forest.
I drove out of town and that's when I noticed the black feather, exactly the shade of Adrian's wings, and a note laying beside it. I picked up the note and read it.
You can't run forever. I will find you and eventually when I do, you will wish you'd never ran. I will destroy you if it's the last thing I do. I swear to you, your death will come sooner than you think.
