The Mystery Boy was standing before me in all his glory. He was wearing a black shirt, black jeans and black shoes that were not from anywhere on this Earth, it seemed. His white wings spread out lovingly, invitingly. They spanned thirteen feet across, just sat above his hips, and reached just below his shoulder blades. "Rosemarie?" he asked. He tried to hug me but I scrambled out of his grasp. "How are you here?" I asked as my mind tried to wrap around the fact that he was here, in reality, not a dream.
He looked hurt. "My name is Avery." Oh, so the Mystery Boy finally gave me a name. Avery looked over at me with such love in his eyes that they pulled me in like magnets and suddenly I was in his arms, and his wings wrapped around us both, engulfing us in there warmth. "How are you here?" I repeated. He sighed. "I don't know. My only guess is I'm now Earth Bound. What happened back in the dream? What made me disappear?" I immediately stiffened then relaxed as I realized I was safe in his cocoon of warmth.
"Well, I was confronted by a man that has been stalking me ever since my mother was," I gulped, "Murdered. That man was my father. My only hope is that he can't find me. If he does, then I'm screwed."
Avery laughed. "What does he plan on doing?"
"Killing me."
Avery immediately stiffened. "Not if I can help it."
I smiled. "How'd you find me anyways?"
"I wanted to see you so bad I just pictured you in my mind and showed up here."
Suddenly I heard a snap of a twig. I immediately tried to sit up, so did Avery. "Rose! I know you're here." a voice boomed out. I froze. I knew who's voice it was. It was my father's. He had found me.
