BEEP.

BEEP.

BEEP.

I hit my alarm clock with my hand trying to turn it off.

BEEP.

BEEP.

BEEP.

It continues to annoy me. I sit up sending it a glare and unplug it hastily and throw it across my room hoping it breaks so I never have to hear that god awful noise again. Once I am sure the beeping has stopped I get out of bed. I have a cloud of dread surrounding me as I put on skinny jeans and a purple quarter length sleeve shirt, then add a white scarf and my black Vans to top it off then I do my hair and brush my teeth. I grab my bag off of my desk chair and head down my stairs to get breakfast. If you haven't guessed already it is the first day of school. I stayed in my room planning for the last two weeks of summer, I need to get a friend who won't fall for my brothers. I think I have it planned.

"Oh sweetheart your wearing that," My mom asks with a judgmental stare. I look down at my outfit then back at my mom.

"What's wrong with this," I ask. Since my mom and I are the only girls in the house I get special attention from her.

"You just wear stuff like that everyday..I figured you'd wear a dress or something."

"Oh. It's just the first day. I'll wait till picture day for all that." I say grabbing a strawberry pop tart from the cabinet.  I start to open it when it is suddenly stolen from my hands.

"Thanks sis I knew you loved me." Lukus my 12 year old brother says.

"No! Give that back it's the last one! I can't live without my pop tarts!" I exclaim. Lukus just finishes opening it and pops it in the toaster as if he didn't hear me, "Please stop! I'll do anything!" I say desperate. This gets Lukus's attention just as he puts his finger on the lever.

"Anything," Lukus asks creepily.

"As long as it is legal scouts honor!" I say crossing my heart with pleading eyes.

"Eh. Not feeling it." He says as he pushes the lever all the way down. I fall to my knees dramatically. There is no going back. I have never liked toasted pop tarts I don't know why I prefer them cold. Lukus just laughs like a maniac. I slowly get up and look at the clock. Crap! The bus will be here in a five minutes! I panic and grab a bag a pretzels on my way out the door as I run to the bus stop a block away. Today is going to be the best.

~*~*~*~

I sit at my lunch table alone. I don't sit by people at lunch because I don't really care about gossip. The people I have sat by in the past have been nice but so fake. I never understood the concept of wearing makeup. Sure I wear a small amount of makeup for myself but I don't cake it on like most of the girls at my school. I know I could try sitting by a different group of people but in my mind it is already to late if I sat next to a different group it would just be weird and they would question me. I would've done that as a freshman but I'm a junior and any big changes would just throw off the whole groove of the school. I personally don't want to put up with all that drama. I pick at my cheap lunch I bought since I forgot pack my lunchbox this morning in my rush. I sigh eating a bite. I cringe at it's horribleness and set my fork back down. I give up and I grab my bag of pretzels from this morning out of my bag and eat them while scrolling though my Facebook page. When the bell rings signaling my next class I get up and shove my stuff in my backpack turning around quickly I run into something really hard.

"Ouch!" I say with an angry voice while rubbing my sore nose.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" I hear a boys voice say.

"No, no it was my fault. I'm sorry." I say waving my hand at the figure. I then look up. I've never seen this boy before. He must be a new student.

"I still feel horrible." he says with kind eyes. I give him a small smile.

"Oh I can handle this I have ten brothers." I off highhandedly mention. His eyes go wide.

"Ten?"

"Yeah."

"Wow." The guy says then starts to walk away.

"Wait, I've never seen you around what's your name," I ask.

"Kian Evans." He responds, "You?"

"Fiona Johnson" I answer with a smile holding out my hand in a greeting, "Nice to meet you."

"Same here." He says while grabbing my hand and shaking it with a small smile playing at his lips.

"What class do you have next?" I question hoping to get to know the new guy a little better. I am on the welcoming committee after all.

"Chemistry." He says

"Same! I'll walk with you!''

"Sounds good!"

With that we being walking. I walk to class just doing small talk. Like where he came from and why he moved here. It turns out his mom got a new job and they moved here Las Vegas. Which is super cool I think. He doesn't ask me any questions but he does smile the whole time. That's a good sign. I think we will be good friends...even if I'm a little annoying.

Hey!

How are you guys doing today? I am on a roll with updating aren't I? Anyway? Who is this Kian guy? Why is he so quiet?

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I hope to post another soon!

Make a comment or two just so I know you're really there! You don't have too...:) ANYWAY! Have a good one
