Huntress POV:

Nine. Nine. NINE. The words repeat in my head like a broken record player. Nine. The other twelve year old only got a four. Nine. One of the careers only got an eight. Nine. Lake got a ten. Nine. Did I really get a nine? I hear gasps all around me and I am immediately reassured that I got the score that I did. Nine. Wow, I got a nine. "Oh my god Huntress, you're incredible." Lake breaks the silence. "You're friggin incredible." I slowly turn my head towards him, my fear must have been clear in my eyes, because his expression immediately softened and he said; "stick with me, you're my ally right? I'll keep you safe."

"Okay." I whisper. A nine. I got a nine. I'm in trouble now. I have to watch my back. The arena isn't a friendly place, especially for a Donner. How will I live? I am most definitely going to be hunted now. Huntress. Such an ironic name in this situation. The huntER is being huntED. I'm not going to make it past the first day. I thought to myself, at least I thought it was to myself.

"No. You're going to make it until the end. You can do it. You got a better score than one of the careers." Haymitch says.

"I'm going to die." I whisper.

"No, you're going to LIVE."
