I sat in my room, and switched the television on. I wanted to recap on the rest of the Reapings. I had seen District One, ours wasn't interesting. I skipped forward to District 3.
A woman with an unnatural peachy coloured hair tapped the microphone to hard, and a wave of screeching sounds rolled across the crowd. This made them fall silent. Citizens and crying parents gathered towards the back, and the children stood in their age groups. The mayor had obviously done the speech, and the Peacekeeper brought out the four bowls and placed them in front of her.
"12-15 category, boy and girl are!" She went over to the bowls and picked one from each.
"Blakshon Pugget!" A tall boy from the 15's walked out, and towards the stage.
"And Cottun Wetnight!" There was some movement from the 14's, before the girls spread out, leaving one in the middle. She burst into tears.
"I volunteer!" A girl yelled.
The escort looked stunned. "Well there is a first to everything. District 3's first volunteer! Up. Come up!"
"My name is Addison Juryc."
They showed Cutton running up to her mother, and her younger sister. Her mother sat in a wheelchair.
Cottun put three fingers to her lips, and held them up.
"Well, now for the 16-18 category. Boys!" She put her hand in the bowl, and snatched it up. "Kernop Claudie!"
The children in the 16's split apart. There were two boys exactly the same standing in the middle. The one on the right began moving forward. He was halfway up the stage when someone started shouting.
"No! No, no, no, no, no! I volunteer! I volunteer!" The second boy ran towards the stage, the first boy embracing the other boy.
"And your name?" The escort asked.
"Logan Claudie."
"Brothers? Well done."
"I just want to say, any of this years tributes that are watching this, watch your backs. There is another thing coming, and I want to win."
"That's nice, and for the girls, it is!" She carefully picked this one.
"Camden Angul." A thin girl from the 17's walked onto the stage. She faced the crowd, tears brimming.
District 3, your 25th Annual Hunger Games, Tributes! And may the odds be ever in your favour. Tributes, shake hands!"
They showed the tributes shaking hands, then walking into the Justice building, then it shut off.

District 4 was next. They showed the children lining up, and then the Mayor walked out to say something. It cut past the speech, and their escort came onto the stage. It was a man wearing black clothes, and looking very sharp. The crowds were cheering and smiling, and in all, happy about Reaping day. The town square was quite large, and could easily fit District 2 in it.
The escort signalled for quiet. "District 4, it is my honour to be selecting the fortunate, or not so fortunate tributes for this year! I know how happy we are, so let there be no more delay. May the odds be ever in your favour! Peacekeepers." The escort beamed. They wheeled out a trolley with the four bowls, and he grabbed one from each. The boys and the girls 12-15. "Ladies and Gentlemen, this years tributes for the 12-15 category are! Marquisi Reyna and Phoebe King!"
The boy exited from the 12's, and the girl from the 13's. They walked up, side by side, until they reached the escort.
"Any volunteers? No? Then onto our next category!" He chose a boy and a girl again, and went back to the microphone. "Kristopher Sauet and Georgia Redtea!"
