Vanessa's POV
"Julio! Just stop!" I yelled, trying to stop the scene that was starting to unravel in the middle of the cafeteria.
"Vanessa come let's go, let them settle down or whatever. Come on please." Emily said to me trying to pull me away from Julio, Claire and Lucas. I backed away from them and started walking away with Emily.
"Thanks Emily, but um I'm going home for today" I turned to face her and slightly smiled. "Oh okay, yeah I'll tell Julio that you-"
"I rather you not tell Julio." I interrupted her, but in all honestly I needed to get home early because I didn't ant to be in school today especially after discovering what Nathan knows.
"Oh, yeah. No problem, do you need a ride home?" she asked with curiosity written all over her face.
"No thank you, talk to you later."

Adam's POV
"Look I need to stay out of her life, she has too much on her plate right now" I whispered into the phone, knowing anyone could walk in.
"Man, I've been waiting so long for her. How much longer, you know Mr. DIckhead doesn't like to wait long."
"You think I don't know that! I owe him big time, you can just tell him to hold on for a couple of weeks?"
"I'll see what I can do, but I have no granites that the wait is going to last that long."
"I know, thanks ma- I have to go." I hung up as I fast as I could when the front door opened. Funny as far as I knew Amanda was out wasting dad's money, dad was out-of-town again and Essa was at school. I went to the living room to find Essa on the couch, her book bag at the door.
"Essa? What are you doing here so early?" I asked as I walked closer to the couch.
"Oh... Hey Adam, I didn't feel so good so I came home. I thought you were going to look for a job?" she asked with curiosity written all over her face.
"About that... Look Essa, I know just came back but I'm-" I was interpreted by the front door being slammed open by Amanda.
