The Precipice World, Or Truth's Gate.

Chapter 4

    Ed, Al, and Winry sit around the couch as the man wakes up and looks around. The group surrounding him jumps up in relief. "Oh thank god you're okay!!!" Winry shouts in joy.

"Who-Who are you people!?" The man seems more shocked than scared.

"I'm Edward Elric! The standing next to me is my younger brother Alphonse Elric, the girl next to you, her name is Winry Rockbelle." Edward introduces every one before putting on a stern look, "What's your name man and how'd you get here?"

The man points to himself, "I-I'm Ichigo Kurosaki, I was traveling with a friend named Rukia Kuchiki." Ichigo jumps up. "Rukia!?! Where's Rukia?!" He looks around frantically when Edward pushed him back on the couch. "You were the only one we found! This "Rukia" girl isn't here..."

Winry leaves to the kitchen and comes out a few seconds later with tea and four slices of apple pie. She sets them down and hands pie to Ichigo and the others. They gave their thanks to Winry and ate the pie as Ichigo started to explain.

"Like I was saying I'm a substitute soul reaper, I was going through the Precipice World when the paths split..." he looks down as he continues the story, "Rukia and I split up and took different paths then I got stuck here, in your world. But at least I know that Rukia is okay, she must have made it back to the Soul's Society."

Edward looked down in a concentrated gaze trying to gather all the information, Alphonse look at Ichigo with interest. Edward looks up determined," Al, What did that sound like to you?" Alphonse looked confused so Edward continued sighing, "Sorry to bring back bad memories Al but remember..." At that Alphonse jumped out of his seat, "The Portal of Truth!" Ichigo looked confused.

"The Portal of Truth'?" He mimicked. Edward and Alphonse looked at him. "Yeah the Portal of Truth... What did the end of your trip through that look like?"

"There was a bright white light... but what does that have to do with this?" Ichigo looked even more confused than before. Edward and Alphonse went through their past and told the story of how they tried to bring back their mother, Trisha Elric.

A few months after their father, Van Hohenheim, left them Trisha Elric died of a sickness. Filled with grief, Edward and Alphonse dipped themselves deeper into the studies of alchemy and mostly... human transmutation. During a local flash flood the brothers met Izumi Curtis who later became their teacher. After a couple years of training with her, they went home, and committed the ultimate taboo, human transmutation. They failed costing Alphonse his body and Edward his leg. Desperate to bring his brother back, Edward gave his arm to attached Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor that was in their father's study.
