Chapter 3

It didn't take long for the hospital to tell an ambulance to be ready in 5 minutes to take me to the hospice but my mum and dad looked as I felt never out but as usual I did t let it show. As we were walking down the hall way to the elevator I passed some of the nurse who I have known since I was first diagnosed they all said the usual "We'll miss you around here or "You'll get better soon .( You know all that getting your hopes up crap , but I felt like saying you should speak to my parents about that not me I know the truth but I forcefully bit my tongue .) (just grin and bare it Dakota grin and bare it .) After what seemed liked an eternity we finally made it to the front off the hospitals I took one last look back remembering the memories I had here my 11,12 and 13 birthday party's because I was to sick to leave ,the friends I had made who ether got moved to another ward to continue treatment,got better or sadly couldn't keep fighting any more.But some off them who got to leave always came to see me everyday whenever they could it was always me,Damian,Kat,Ryan and persephone ( Greek goddess wife of Hades Lord of the underworld .) Yep let me explain Damian was originally from New York but had to move here when he was diagnosed with  Testicular cancer at 15 doctor said it was shocking for someone his age but like Damian always says"Everything happens for a reason " But his parents didn't think so they so split up because the pressure was getting too much but Damian says they still get along (at least while he's there .) Then there's Kat she was from Paia,Hawaii she was diagnosed with breast cancer at a very young age she was raised by her mother her father walked out did not want the pain of being a father or as Kat alway says "He's a no good Bastard who will never mean anything to me or my family.(Yeah she was the fsitey one of the group I think that's why Damian was in love with her but he never would have the guts to tell her incase she says no but what he doesn't know was that Kat has been in love with him since she first lay eyes on him.) Then there was Ryan he was the comedian of the group he would always be there to make us laugh after treatment he diagnosed with osteosarcoma at such a young age I think he had to grow up fast but his way of dealing with it was humour so that was how he masked his pain by making everyone laugh so he could forget about the world.Then there's Persephone ( or as Ryan calls her the posh one ) was originally from Hale ,Cheshire but you wouldn't think it she is the most down to earth person ever, but her parents think she should be at the best school in England getting the best education that money could buy but that all changed when at 12 she was diagnosed with lung cancer and immediately rushed to hospital so she had to move here to make sure that she was in the best hands ( because her parents thought there would be a cure ) . But as I always say "There is no cure only time and some off us don't have much of it ". But as time went on her and Ryan became one of the best couples in the world and have been together now for 2 years but of course her parents don't agree and state "He will never be accepted as family ". So Persephone has had nothing to do with her family since but they still send her money but her and Ryan are now looking for a house together while their not at the hospital.suddenly I was dragged out of my thoughts when the ambulance driver said "Ready to go Dakota?". I nodded my head know if I spoke I would simply say "Hell no " but I thought I might as well because ether way I'm goi g to end up there so might as well save the hassle so I got In To the ambulance and headed off to my new home ( oh great !) .
