Missing Mother

Chapter 4

---------- 1 month later ----------

I walked into school. Finally, it was Friday! I was still upset about what Jason told me, even a month later. I couldn't get over that he left me. I didn't even say goodbye, but whatever. I was starting to miss him a little more each day...

When I walked home, I stopped at Jaime's. I knocked on her door, then rang the doorbell. She didn't answer  so I decided to take the longer route home. I wanted to enjoy the scenery. I walked on the bike trail that led me to my house. I took a detour and stopped the nearest gas station to get some candy. When I got out it started to get cloudier so I decided to get some excercise and jog home. I got to the front door, got my key and opened the door. Paige was at at friends house and my mom was working so that left me home alone. I took a small nap.

I woke back up at around 6:45 when I heard a knock on the door. I walked down the stairs slowly and looked though the little hole thing on the door. I couldn't find out who it was so I just opened the door. "Hi?" "Hi, I'm looking for Mrs. Marie Baraay?" "She's not home yet and I don't know when she will be back. Wanna leave a note for her?" "Sure, can you tell her to call this number when she has a chance?" "Yep thanks." "Bye." Then I closed the door. Paige came back at 7:30 and mom came at 8:30. "Mom! Call this number. This guy came and asked for you and gave me this business card." "Ok thanks." she said.

I took a shower at 9 then got out and put my pajamas on and then went to sleep. 

Yay! The weekend!! I was planning on going to the carnival with Paige and her friend Macy at 1. I woke up at 10 and got my clothes and put them on. Our mom doesn't work on the weekends so she stays home and relaxes. I went downstairs and got Frosted Cheerios. When I finished, I drank Sunny D and went out on the deck in the backyard. I sat on the cot and basked in the sunlight. I loved these mornings where I could just relax under clear blue sky and warm weather under the sun.Why couldn't it be like this everyday? I couldn't wait till summer so I could do this everytime.

At 1:00 I got Paige with Macy and we all walked to the carnival, which wasn't that far away. I didn't go on rides. I just stood there eating cotton candy and corn dogs watching them have fun. We got home at around 5 and I went to my room and layed on my bed. I was so tired. I changed into sweatpants and a red pullover from Disney Land with my white slippers. I turned on the TV and put the news on since there was nothing else to watch. I got my iPhone and put my earphones in and listened to my Favorites List. 

I took my earphones out when I saw something on the news. It was the guy at the door the other day! It said that he kidnapped two women around the ages of 35 and 40. Why would he want my mom to call him? 

A/N: Hmm I wonder what's gonna happen next?? Nobody knows.. Well maybe I do. Will Ana try to protect her mom? Why did he stop by their house? What does he want from them? So many questions unanswered!! Ooooooo! <3
