Missing Mother

Chapter 5

I walked downstairs to my mom and asked her if she called the anonymous guy yet. " Yes, why?" "Because... Umm.. I just wanted to know. What did he want?" "It was just stuff about ... bills." I could tell she was lying to me but decided not to argue with her, "Oh, ok then."

I decided I would take a shower in the morning so I just went to sleep. I couldn't fall asleep, so I turned on the TV. I watched a movie from Netflix. After watching the hour and a half long movie, I could finally fall asleep.

I woke up and then took my shower at 9:10. I took a 15 minute shower and went into my bedroom to get dressed. I wondered what I was going to do today. It was going to be 75°. I decided I would wear khaki shorts with a white Hollister tanktop-type shirt. It had a flowery lace design on it. I wore my white flip-flops along with my outfit. With that, I fixed my hair into a side braid with a headband and then walked downstairs.

"Mom?" I asked to see where she was. "Yes? I'm in the office." I walked to the office room. "Hey, are we going to do something today?", I asked in a hopeful tone. "We are going to an open house." "Wait, what??", I asked confused. "We are going to move Ana." "When were you going to decide to tell me this?" Why would we have to move? "Well, today. I thought you always wanted to move out of here?" "Yes, I did. I have all my friends are here mom!" "It's not far from here Ana! You can always see your friends anytime you want. You'll be going to the high school closest there, which is Mount Raya High School and Paige will go to Chanya Elementary." "Mom, it's my last year at Tamara High, can't we wait?", I asked pleading to stay here. "Sorry, but we have to. You will understand later why we have to move." "Well did you tell Paige?" "I already did.", she said. "Ughhh.", I said walking away from the office.

At 2 o'clock, we drove to see the open house. It was a nice house with beautiful white fence. It was a two story, white house with a gray roof. Much bigger than the one we have now. We walked inside to see that it had light-colored wood flooring and many rooms. It seemed way bigger on the inside than the outside. I loved it but still didn't want to move away. While my mom talked to the sellers, me and Paige went to explore the rest of the house together. "I call this room!", I shouted at Paige. It was a light purple color with a big closet and was a big room. "I'll have the blue one!", she said and ran to it. Her room would be right across from mine. "This is the best house ever!!", she shouted in her "new" room.

Our mom found us, "We got the house!". She sounded excited. "Let's go back home and pack some stuff!"

We got back home about 20 minutes later after leaving. I went to my room and started packing my clothes. I got boxes and put them in there. After that I got a box for my blanket, comforter, and my pillows that I would put them into tomorrow. I put my clothes boxes in the moving truck, except for one outfit which I'd wear tomorrow for school. We packed most of our things and decided we would pack some more tomorrow after school.
