Dipper's POV

***

"Pacifica, what's happening?" I asked.

"I don't know Dipper! Help me!" Pacifica cried.

Next thing I knew, it was dark.

I struggled to open my eyes. Then, I did. It was morning time. I guess I would of passed it off as a dream usually, but not this time.

"Mabel!" I screamed.

"What?" She yelled back.

"Come here!" I yelled in fear.

She ran into my room thinking something was wrong.

"What happened?!" She yelled.

"Paci-... Pacifica... Di- Dis-Disappearing..." I stuttered.

"What? You must have had a bad dream." She said with a part worried part confused look on her face.

Mabel helped me out of bed an left the room so I could get dressed.

Once I got to school I didn't see Pacifica next to my locker.

"Where's Pacifica?" Mabel asked as we walked to our first class.

"I- I'm... not sure." I thought, thinking about what happened at the party.

"Dipper, something is wrong. What is it?" Mabel asked.

"Nothing." I mumbled.

"I'm your twin. I know if something is wrong." She said, looking me dead in the eyes. I know, she is my twin sister and we are supposed to tell each other everything. But, I didn't know how to explain what I saw. It wouldn't make sense.

"You know what, I don't know. Something- Something impossible." I stumbled over my own words.

"Well, when you figure it out, let me know." She told me as she walked to her desk because we were now in the classroom.

I sat in my seat with the empty desk next to me.

I couldn't pay attention. Everything seemed so blurry. I was too worried about Pacifica. I've been in many cases with odd people and of surroundings but nothing like this.

I didn't want to lose Pacifica. I didn't even tell her how I felt about her. Right now, I actually didn't know how I felt about her right now.

Then, Pacifica ran through the door.

"I'm late! Sorry!" She yelled.

The teacher gave her a late slip and she sat down next to me.

"Hey." She said.

"Hey." I replied.

"Last night... what happened?" I asked but it was probably the wrong time because just then the teacher yelled at us.

"I'm going to have to move you two away from each other if you two continue to talk."

"Yes Mrs. Yelsh." We mumbled together.

Pacifica's POV

~~~
I sat through my boring class and fortunately lasted through it.
When the bell rang I grabbed my backpack and swung it over my shoulder.
"Hey Dipper, why were you trying to say to me earlier?" I asked.
"It's not important." He mumbled under his breath. He wasn't acting like he usually does.
"Dipper, of course it's important." I said.
He just stood there waiting for me to say something.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing!" He yelled as he marched away.
Wow, he was acting odd today and I have no idea.
The day dragged on and on. I tried to talk to Dipper many times, but I failed every time. He was getting on my nerves.
My mom picked me up in her car in the back of the school.
"Hi, mo-." I stared at her. She had a bruise plastered across her arm.
"What happened?!" I yelled.
"Nothing happened honey. Get in the car please." She whispered.
"Why is nobody telling me anything today?" I yelled, but right when I did I regretted it because I didn't want to make her in a bad mood, she looked like she had a harsh day.
We drove home in complete silence. We pulled up into the driveway I hopped out of the car.
My mom got out slowly. I walked over to open the door.
When she got out she started limping.
"Mom! What happened?" I said with a tear racing down my face.
"I'll tell you later. When he isn't around."
Then, my dad walked out and I instantly knew what happened to my mom.
