Maya: My Chicago Journal

Day 4

Today is Sunday and I HAVE NO SCHOOL WORK!!! To me this is wonderful news! Also, I have another date with Jack tonight at his mom's bakery. I don't want things to end up like what happened with me and Lucas. I don't want another boy like him in my life. I'm gonna try to tell him that I don't have a good rep with bakeries. He'll probably understand.

Ok, so when I got to the bakery, of course he's already there! He was standing outside of the bakery waiting for me. We said hi, then he wanted us to go in but then I told him about what happened between me and Lucas. He reassured me by saying nothing like that will ever happen between me and him. I finally gave in and we entered the bakery that is called "Grace's place" (or GP for short).

We take a seat at this window seat-ish type of booth. He grabs our drinks and some food. He grabs me a tall hot chocolate with wiped-cream and a crosaunt. He gets a tall pumpkin spice latte and a bagel with cream cheese. After he gets our stuff, we talk about what my life was like in New York. After awhile I started to cry. He calmed me down and hugged me. Me and Jack are really close now and I'm so glad. Without him I don't know what I would do.

After we finished our food he asked me if I wanted to have kind of a sleepover at his place with Chloe. It would be just the three of us. I said sure.

"Perfect!" He said

Then he kissed me!!!! I felt fireworks everywhere! It felt amazing! After we stopped, we headed to my place to invite Chloe and to get my stuff.

When we got to my apartment, I told him to stay outside, and he did. I went inside and went straight to my room to get my stuff. After I packed everything I needed, I went to Chloe's room. I asked her and she said yes. After she packed her stuff we grabbed our bags and met Jack outside.
