Maya: My Chicago Journal

Day 2

Dear journal,

I woke up early in the morning to check out the city, but when I tried to sneak out my step-mom caught me. I finally learned her name. It's Carol and her daughters' are Chloe and Sarah. Anyways, Carol said I couldn't Go until I did my school work. I was like huh. I didn't know this but the girls are the homeschooled and I'm being homeschooled too! So, after I was done with my work (so hard!) Carol let me Check out the city (my curfew is 4).

The city reminded me of New York. I miss all my friends in NY especially Riley. I met this guy, Jack. He is really hot but he seem like someone who is broken inside, like me. He gave me his number and I texted him when I got back. We talked about our lives before we met and his is pretty deep. Did you know he is a foster kid, he got beat up when he was little, his best friend died, and his foster family neglected him. I told him about my life and about my dad and my mom. He says he's getting some help from a phycologist. He told me he also needs a friend.

Well after I texted jack like a million times Chloe invited me for frozen yogurt after we go shopping at forever 21. I had so much fun the two of us. I got this really cute top and this cute beanie. After fro yo, I saw Jack. Apparently Chloe knows him. She says I should stay away from him, but I don't want to. Well, today was better that yesterday I guess. Well I gtg, see ya!
