Everyone has something to hide- especially high school juniors Spencer, Aria, Emily, and Hanna.
Spencer covets her sister's boyfriend. Aria's fantasizing about her English teacher. Emily has a crush on the new girl at school. And Hanna is using some ugly tricks to stay beautiful.
But they've all kept an even bigger secret since their friend Alison vanished.
How do I know? Because I know everything about the bad girls they were and the naughty girls they are now. And guess what? I'm telling.
Review~
I have dug back into my reading past, and decided to do a review on one of my favorite books from a couple years ago. You know, when the realm of vampires, 12 districts and being Divergent, didn't exist. But I did love the book at one time, so why not do a review?
Pretty Little Liars is one of the craftiest books to be placed in front of my eyes. My eyes were glued to it from page one, and I actually got in trouble for reading it in a day from my mother! *saying mother in an old British accent to enforce annoyance*
Sara Shepard's writing is full of scandal, supsence and secrets. And gets my SSS stamp of approval! Many of which authors cease to do (although I doubt they set out get my approval, but I can dream, right?)
The story line was full of scandal on every page *tabloid worthy*, the suspense had my heart racing and was the main reason I finished it in a day, and the secrets so mind-blowing, it made my secret of stealing my brother's marble collection and blaming it on the dog, when I was 10 seem so insignificant !
After I finished Pretty Little Liars, I went out and bought the rest of the series, with the eagerness to find out who A was.
The T.V show adaptation of the books, closely follows the books and if you are a fan of the show, I definitely recommend you pick up the series and have a read. That way you will have the upper hand, when everyone is guessing who the infamous A is.
I give Pretty Little Liars 8 OUT OF 10 STARS, and thank the Lord that I don't have a crazy stalker out there, giving all my secrets away (although there is this guy that stands at my window at night?) Hhmm..
ALL CREDIT GOES TO SARA SHEPHARD FOR 'PRETTY LITTLE LIARS' MATERIAL. I DO NOT OWN IT.
