Review~

*Southern Accent*  Beautiful Creatures is gripping tale of spells, dark forces and first loooveee. Yep, everything sounds better in a southern accent in my opinion. And as I was writing the information for this review, I was yelling out KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN in a thick southern accent.  And yes, my brother did try and wheel me off to a mental institution.

He failed of course. Distraction/10

So back to the review. I have to give credit to my Dad for Beautiful Creatures, because he was the one to give it to me. He has this strange power of knowing the books that I will like, wish I could say the same thing when he buys food! TUNA CASSAROLE? yummoo ;)

Gosh, why do I get so distracted in reviews? Okay, time to buckle down.

The first thing I really loved about Beautiful Creatures was the fact that it was written in Ethan's POV. It's the first book I've read in the Teen/Romance genre, where the boy is the narrator. I loved it, because all the way through the book, I kept thinking 'is that really how boys think?'  NOT ALL BOYS LIKE BLONDE SKINNY CHEERLEADERS! *cue jumping up and down with glee* They also like weird, shy caster/witch girls instead! But then I remembered I wasn't a weird, shy caster/witch either *deflates like a ballon* Yep #foreveralone.

Though in the 2 weeks it took me to read this, I did feel special. The authors really captivated me with the visual imagery, sending me into a alice in wonderland type world. Spinning tables, frozen time, and yellow eyes.  Let's just say I came back to a very dull, boring world, after I finished Beautiful Creatures.

So you know how I said 'everything is better in a southern accent?' Well that's the second reason I liked this book. I read this whole book in an accent, all 563 pages. Most fun ever.

And the third reason I loved this book was because of my favorite character in it, Ethan Wate. He made my heart all warm and fuzzy, and was definitely a glass half full character. His optimism and love for Lena sent goosebumps throughout my entire body. I just wanted to give him a giant hug by the end of the book.

If you love books that make you heart go all gooey on the inside, but still want some fantasy, Beautiful Creatures is the book to read.

I give this book 7 OUT OF TEN STARS and if you come across anyone who thinks this book is stupid, whack them with it! It is of course 563 pages long.....it will do some damage ;)

ALL CREDIT GOES TO KAMI GARCIA & MARGARET STOHL FOR THE 'BEAUTIFUL CREATURES' MATERIAL. I DO NOT OWN IT.
